Supported. I agree with the fact that it's a sign of strong glutes and soleus muscles aiding to good cadence...proof: from whence I started proper running form around 2.5years am suffering from both legs soleus muscles pain🦶🦵

@@kudzanaichiwara9140 Are you or have you run in 'minimal' shoes? I switched over to Merrell Vapor Glove back in 2018 and it took a long time for my weak calves and feet to adapt! My calves will still be sore after a long run (which I do not do often). But my running form and speed are better than ever. I would advocate to do at least running drills and leisure time on 'minimal' footwear, you will feel so much better getting your poor feet out of those 'foot coffins'.
@kudzanaichiwara9140 Жыл бұрын
@@bigbattenberg wow, i like your take on that case its also a lesson to me. From my own understanding running with shoes that forces you to change proper running form i.e foot strike on ground must be in line with vertical shin but using shoes like minimal which got flat sole or flat bass you name it. They force you to land almost flat footed and that way you are straining your calves that includes soleus muscles(shins). Now that you use merrel vapor glove which are engineered to promote proper running technique am happy for you and you're good to go. Only way your leg muscles can tolerate minimal shoes is maybe when you use grass course like soccer pitch and golf courses. I'm also about to change my spikes due to that same factor. Thanx for bringing that to discussion.🤛mom chelimo said "endelea kukimbia" ->keep on running friend.

This workout looks so intense, crazy how much work you guys put in during the off-season. But it was also really cool to see Luis voluntarily become the pace setter knowing that he couldn’t necessarily keep up with the full runs he chose to help everybody else to make sure they all could put in the work they needed to

It is interesting to see that most running surfaces (even the tracks) in Kenia and other African countries are soft dirt. Ever since switching to 'minimal' footwear (around 2018) I have become much more aware of the effects of the surfaces you run on. Even a road of hard packed dirt here in Holland is still much more comfortable than asphalt or concrete. I find the 'shoe wars' that are influencing the sport so much a terrible shame, unfortunately it seems impossible to reverse. Barefoot/ minimal running has been a game changer for me - the main being the joy in running and moving in general. Thanks for the channel, we are all enjoying and appreciating it.
