I adore Paula!! Good comedy doesn't have to be rude or vulgar. Paula has always been one of the very best at her craft.

She was charged for taking indecent liberties with a child under 13 years, pleaded down, and was barred from taking in foster children. I'd rather listen to someone who curses than someone who does *that*

I just love it when the doctor is the one who calls me in to see her. Then she pulls up my health record on the computer, reads off all the things that are wrong with me (and I'm 64, so it's a lengthy list), then she turns to me and says, "So, how are you doing?" I also hate commercials for the latest medicines. They say such stupid things (above and beyond the side effects that are worse than the conditions for which you're supposed to take the medicines). Like "tell your doctor about all medications you are taking." Since your doctor prescribed your medications, shouldn't he already know which medicines you're taking? Unless you're seeing another doctor on the side. Then you have to have a big, emotional discussion about why you're cheating on him, the whole "it's not you, it's me" thing, etc. Then there are those commercials about a medicine to treat osteoporosis in women who are postmenopausal. The warning in the commercials: "Do not take if you are pregnant or thinking about becoming pregnant." What!?! Doesn't being postmenopausal mean that you can't get pregnant? Commercials for medicines nowadays are so stupid!

To be fair, a lot of medicines are prescribed by specialists, not by your primary doctor. The information sometimes gets into your primary's chart, and sometimes it doesn't. (It also works in the other direction: the cardiologist wouldn't know I was using Trelegy if I didn't tell him.)

Messing around with the integrity of NATO. Bellying up to the world’s despots. Calling Vladimir a genius for his moves in Ukraine. These are just some of the things that come to mind. In my Army days this narrative would have been inconceivable.

Paula Poundstone was on probation for YEARS for kid stuff......look it up.
@weremyjiggins89 Жыл бұрын
She was on probation for driving under the influence with kids in the car. The "lewd acts" were dropped and never proven or pressed further in court. I wanna say I read somewhere that a disgruntled foster kid made the accusations for some sort of retaliation but I could be wrong.
@hhouser9783 Жыл бұрын
@@weremyjiggins89 yes you are one hundred percent incorrect what happened was that child protective services showed up after the call they went through the house to look to make sure the children were okay and in the twelve-year-old diary they found explicit writings of Paula Poundstone masturbating the child she was never found not guilty that she got a sweetheart deal from a corrupt da that allowed her to never have to say to the charges and plead guilty it's truly disgusting
