Welcome back. This deck is better than I thought it would be. I think you are probably too heavy on artifact lands for no reason. Having 10 is going to leave you way too weak to dust to dust which seems like it might be everywhere because the new affinity might be insane. Wedding invitation might be kinda dope here because it gives you an out to attack when thoughtpicker might be too slow. You can also get it back with urborg repossession. Probably only a two of but it gives you some legs.

nice to see new videos, crypt rats main might be a cool idea, with refactor it can clear out any blockers, worst case it could draw a game if you are dead on next turn, also can keep you alive vs some agro decks.

@@SnapBolt the list is interesting. Im wondering if you've considered running the evo witness over urborg? seems similar in effect but opens you up to new lines. Additionally I agree that the thoughtpicker witch lethal on mtgo might be untenable. im wondering if a red splash for makeshift and dd oracle might make sense? you could even add bridges and cleansing wildfire as an engine to support the mana base that way? Seems ambitious, but I do like the combo, just needs a better win on the spot. potentially something an as simple as rancor to stay BG?

that clock thing was rough. it happened to me a fair bit as well. Sadly Walls and Moggwarts and Altar tron all suffer from this. As such the meta looks vastly different on mtgo than it does in paper :(

I once lost the pestilence mirror like that (since neither player can win it is decided by decking out through 2 campfire) my opponent made a lot of mistakes but had a better connection so i just ... Couldnt win. It was a guaranteed loss from the first turn :(

A couple of copies of shred memory would let you find brood scale as well as any of your eight dispute effects and energy refractor.

Valiant effort at 2:12:38 trying to though pick them out, sadly there wasnt enough time :( I believe in that spot crypt rat can win in time by activating for 3 and getting rid of their blockers, right? Energy Refractor makes the needed black mana. Tough to see when already trying to play fast though.

nice to see a new video from you, I was pumped to see it! thanks for making this combo, it was really interesting to see it go off! just wondering why in that last game you didn't filter a bunch of black with the refractor, cast crypt rats, wipe their board after ensuring they were going to draw a land off of that outlaw medic, and then attack in for the win? I get wanting to test the actual combo clicking though. I like the idea of trying the new flashback deadly dispute. maybe it's worth putting in one direct damage spell like kaervek's torch or rolling thunder for an alternate win with all your mana if you can't click through fast enough?

Thanks. I didn't take that line because I was too focused on combo'ing fast and missed it. I don't think you want a fireball, I think there are other ways to win that a few other people suggested that seem better, like wedding invitation or the fetch land.

As a small note, prismatic strands can't protect against colorless, and the broodscale has Devoid, you spent a lot of time worrying about a card that can't save the op. Great to see you back around!

That was my first though but it’s 4 mana card vs a 1 mana card. I’m just thinking now, perhaps it doesn’t matter because you go for the base combo, make infinite colorless, then spend 1 black to play bats and keep combo’ing. There’s also a three drop that does it too with tokens

Also interestingly Evolution Witness has similar functionality with sadistic glee but would require other parts. Maybe just a worthy value slot regardless as it's pretty powerful.

In a match against ub, you said you cannot adapt more than once ( I know how adapt works). Can you like hold prio, adapt on stack and before resolving activate again as long as you have mana?

If you hold the “Auto Tap Mana” hot key, you can sac your Eldrazi Spawn for mana using only 1 click instead of 2 clicks.

Damn the last opp was really something.... I'm glad I only play pauper in paper though. I think you should try the Snarling Gorehound build out. It would help you increase your card quality by just playing your normal creatures. EDIT: Also I moved back to Nadier's Nightblade instead of thoughtpicker witch. Primarily because it doesn't give opp the opportunity to burn us in the upkeep before the draw. I've no experience with modo, but maybe yielding to Nightblades triggers is faster (less click-intensive) and once you get infinite C, the additional 2 in its manacost won't matter anyway. There's also the scenario where you've already dealt chip damage, and finish with lifeloss using the tokens lying around

You shouldn't be boarding out the cards that dig the combo pieces. In fact, the deck needs more cards like Ransack the Lab to dig faster because the Deadly Disputes are too slow. And the black version of Walls Combo win con is better than Thoughtpicker Witch.. And welcome back, btw!
