imagine how useful curves in zbrush would be if they actually had control handles like other apps handle curves

I wish Zbrush had functionality when you can edit curve after you apply it. They add so many not so useful functions to software in last years and doesn't seem to care about important stuff, which has been bugging zbrush users for years.

Hey Mike how to get rid of red dots or breaks in the frame mesh? It causes breaks in when I use the curve multi Tube for trimming.

NM. It was small stray polygroup. I could have polymerge stray points but grew the visible instead. Thanks.

Thanks for the video! I have a question, what's the shortcut key for the menu pop-up at 3:17 and 3:25 ?
@MichaelPavlovich4 жыл бұрын
that's a custom menu I have assigned to a hotkey; video 049 will walk you through the process: kzbin.info/aero/PLkzopwqcFevbxxNfZtq1ae09h1dht4S6M

hi Michael, sorry for my question.how to use dam standard or other brush using curve mode..my dam standard using curve mode really awkward and not work really well like other KZbin tutorial and also the function of any brush such as clay build up when using edit curve (brush) .I hope you read my comment
@MichaelPavlovich7 жыл бұрын
I don't follow; when you say edit curve with dam standard do you mean lazymouse? or are you turning on curve mode for dam standard and it's not working?
@hamizishah31777 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reply , 1: I'm turning on curve mode for dam standard and its not working. I'm follow step by step in KZbin video "zbrush 4r4 interactive curve mode sculpting " but after I'm follow it,my dam standard have no effect..just dot line.I'm using zbrush 4r7
@MichaelPavlovich7 жыл бұрын
I just tried it on ZB4R7P3 and it worked fine; my steps were: 1)select the dam standard brush, 2) go to stroke > Curve > curve mode (on), 3) drag out a curve, then select the curve and drag it; it should carve in a nice dam standard line as you drag the curve across the surface?
@hamizishah31777 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your reply Michael, I follow your step many time but it didn't work and my mesh not affected. I'm also google my problem, it seem that my brush curve mode had broken cause it does not have patch.my mistake.but it's ok. Thanks for your time answering my question.

I was feeling stupid for struggling to make the curves work the way I want them to, but I feel a lot better knowing that... literally everyone is suffering from zbrush's curves xD

Is there a way to make it so that the inserted meshes scale down the further along the curve they are so that you could have a row of spines going down a dinosaurs tail while getting progressively smaller?

Hi! Thanks for the link, learned some new things and such but that is not what I actually wanted. Unfortunately I was not clear enough, what I was wondering is how (if at all possible) to duplicate objects along a curve and have them get progressively smaller the further down the curve they are. Having already tried the size modifier before asking, it just "squashes" them from their centers. I mostly use Maya and not have yet to try such a thing in it but I remember it being quite easy in 3DS Max using either the spacing or array tool, I cannot remember which.
@MichaelPavlovich6 жыл бұрын
along a curve I'm not sure, but like you mention you can use array mesh in ZBrush to scale uniformly along a path (of sorts): kzbin.info/www/bejne/epa5doOtrbidhK8m53s kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKCUm6OMbpijiqc

is there a way to limit the amount of objects that appear on the curve? so if you were to just have 10 bullets appear around the head with spacing inbetween?
@MichaelPavlovich2 жыл бұрын
Stroke > Curve > Curve Step (smaller number compresses, larger number spaces out)
@ttott36492 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelPavlovich Thank you for replying, with changing the curve step it only seems to work if I create a whole new curve and it also changes the depth since the curve now goes through the subtool with less curve points.
