Love, Love, Love, Love this! Too bad about the rain, but you didn't let that stop you from making it. :) Very well done, the both of you. An amazing journey indeed. I hope to do as well as you this year! Thank you for recording and bringing us along this fabulous adventure.

As I have said before Congratulation Danielle and Wayne on a job well done. It's too bad that our weather was not kind from Snoqualmie Pass northward otherwise I know you would have shot a lot of videos and pictures. Yes it's expensive , yes you probably have other adventures but wouldn't it be nice to visit in the summer here to see what you missed and to make it worth while . To appreciate this state you have to toss in all four of the temperate rainforests the Olympics has to offer especially the Hoh river to Blue Glacier. I will be doing my 1st hike in 30 years into Packwood Lake on my 67 bd in April one week before opening day of fishing , up Coyote trail to the PCT if the snow level is not deep.

Thanks for the following Willard and taking the time to comment so often! I think we'd love to return and hike SOBO to see Washington in all its glory and better weather. I'm adding it to the 'future adventures' list. WE do have a 10 year visa after all! Take care :)

I've been saving the final episode until the blog came out! Thanks for sharing your journey. Its been a great series of blogs and videos. All you have to do now is the most important part.... the gear list! Spreadsheets! Logistics! There the best bits, right? Right? I might be on my own with that one...

You should make your highlight part a separate video, a highlights of the PCT video.

Thanks guys. Good luck for 2020...it'll be epic! We're off to Spain/France to hike the Haute Route Pyrenees mixed with a bit of the GR10/GR11. We have August & September allowed so we can have an easy hike across the country!

Congratulations again. Because you hiked across the border into Canada, how did you sign out your exit from the US to avoid being registered as an overstay, or is that part of the Canadian entry permit? Thanks for taking us along.

Thanks Thomas. We were unsure of how the US border officials would know but we understand that exiting from Canada notifies the US that we have left (or so we have been told). When we re-enter the USA in the future we will have our Canada documents etc just in case there is an issue.

Wow, huge congratulations what an amazing adventure and journey. Two questions: why do you think the desert might of been your favorite section and being that I’m about to follow in your footsteps, how was it different and better/worse than you thought it would be once you started experiencing the trail? Again congrats and thank you for all the great videos!

Thanks Mike. We loved the desert because we'd never hiked in such an environment before. We've been in alpine & northern climates but nothing prepared us for the desert. It was such a change and it's beauty speaks for itself. The trail was just as we expected it if not better. There were some surprising sections we really wish we had more time to explore such as the Three Sisters Wilderness & the Northern Cascades. A good excuse to return for a trip in the future. Would love to go SOBO to see Washington in flower. Thanks for watching and have a good thru-hike.
