PCV Valve Replacement Dodge Durango

Hello, in this video we are working on a 2007 Dodge Durango. We are changing out the old PCV Valve in replacement of a nice new one. This is a maintenance item and should be changed out pretty often. 12-20,000 miles at least. This part is responsible for oil integrity and emissions. If this part goes un-repaired it could lead up oil sludge and premature engine wear. So keep you oil clean and operating with this simple part swap.

Thanks from me also mr Carter. I have a 2006 v8 hemi and I think this is my issue. Oil light came on and lost power aka limp mode I believe. But I previously blew a valve cover seal on passenger side and now I’m leaking oil from driver side. From what I’ve researched it could be bad pcv. I did egr and also oil pressure sensor. I also am blowing white smoke from exhaust. The guy I bought from removed the cats so it’s straight piped I’m just hoping it’s not a head gasket issue. Any advice would be appreciated and thanks again for the great video.

Can you make a video replacing the PCV hose? Mine is most likely dry rotted or not functioning properly anymore. What’s the best way to get to it and replace it?

This 5.7 is long gone! It’s still in my town but I don’t own it anymore. But they’re fairly easy to replace on most vehicles. The problem is usually breaking them when you don’t intend to.
