Wonderful video. Picture quality spot on. This seems like a complicated pattern, but your instructions are clear and very easy to understand. Have watched this video many many times. After a few more views I will have the confidence to attempt this. Thank You for the tutorial.

Hi, love your work and wondering if you could help me find instructions on a pattern I would like to make? I have a photo of the diamond pattern but can't find a video on how to make it.

Would you consider making this as an adjustable collar? I have a sighthound so the thickness of this collar is ideal but it would be much more comfortable for him if it had a buckle :)
@Peacedonkeys6 жыл бұрын
g'day will, i have a few other videos that show how to do the adjustable part. you could then add in the wavy falls pattern after that. have a look at kzbin.info/www/bejne/boTJqHymqr5qkNU.and you will get the idea. these videos take me around 7 hours by the time i video, make the collar, edit the video and upload, so i really don't want to duplicate something i have already spent 7 hours doing sorry, but hey, thanks for asking.

Hi. I am in the process of making this collar now. I'm not concerned with the width, but I am concerned about the thickness. I am starting with an 18 inch collar, but have a feeling it will fit a 14 inch neck size and be very stiff. How do you compensate for this thickness?
@Peacedonkeys5 жыл бұрын
Hi BJ, on an 18 inch collar like this (when measured straight), you will lose around 3 inches for the curve. And you need some wiggle room so it it not too tight on your doggie, so yes, i think you are spot on with your idea of needing an 18 inch collar for a 14 inch neck. New paracord is always a bit stiff, but softens a little bit once it is in use. I would plan on needing to do it twice, and if you get it right first time - bonus! All the best, let's know how you go with it!

@@Peacedonkeys Thank you for your response. Yes, I lost 3 inches due to the thickness. Have you ever used smaller paracord like 325 or 95 to see if that would make it less dense?
@Peacedonkeys5 жыл бұрын
hi bj, i have used a combination of 550 and 2mm micro on the modified sanctified square pattern, but never used the 440 on anything other than horse halter nosebands, i'm not super keen on the texture of it, but it might be a solution to your issue. sorry i can't be more help.

You need to use a simple formula: neck size + 3.14 (pi) x thickness of the weave - buckle = length of weave

When making dog collars you should measure the radius of the dogs neck then add a couple of inches.

hi jury, only one way to find out! i have had paracord collars on my farm dogs and wash them in the machine when they get too dirty.

Peace donkeys oh okay, and how much paracord should I use? her neck is 45cm
@Peacedonkeys6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jurga i think 45cm is around 18 inches. The cord amounts in the instructions are for 12 inches, so you would add half that amount again to give you enough for an 18 inch collar. Maths is not my strong point, you'll have to add all that up yourself.
