It's time for another string farm using cats. This time it doesn't involve killing cats to get string for a change. Trapping hundreds of them in minecarts and glass blocks and sleeping makes a way more efficient cat farm than the ones we previously used.

But are they really trapped? We know for a fact that Minecraft cats can teleport. We thought that minecarts prevented this but this demonstrates that they are capable of leaving and hunting by night. We also know well that cats like boxes (and boats and mine carts are basically just boxes), so I find it much more plausible that rather than being trapped, they will simply remain in the box by choice throughout the day, happily napping, and then leave by night to hunt.

potions of leaping is an actual item that uses rabbit's foot. However since they're in peaceful, I don't think they can actually make potions because you know... No mobs... and as such they can't get hold of blaze powder. And as such is the case they can't actually craft potions. As Blaze Powder is needed to brew.

@@DueySR i like the lapis requirement for enchanting but blaze powder is kinda dumb and redundant. brewing stand already uses a full blaze rod and blaze powder has more than enough uses already, in brewing to make strength and outside brewing as fuel or other miscellaneous stuff

Quite likely, as you can basically try to go "AFK sleeping", while rabbit breeding is a completely manual process that also requires resources. As far as I can tell they rigged the bed (or rather the block the player wakes up on) in such a way that the player is dropped down a block after waking up so they would go to sleep again the next evening, since you always wake up looking at your bed now.

They have a plug-in that means it won't work due to if someone tries to sleep at night it will auto day.

It doesn’t auto day. Just one person has to sleep, so if he wants it to be setup he must be the only person to sleep every time, he’d need to make sure it’s ok with everyone that he can be the only person to sleep, and that no one would need a nighttime

Having tamed dozens of cats wandering freely in villages, I've learnt a couple useful things about their behaviour: - You can should only approach untamed cats when they are facing away from you. If they see you move (with W/A/S/D), even if you're sneaking/crouching, they'll get startled and run away from you - If you have to move your camera (with the mouse) while they're looking at you, do so _very_ slowly. Any sudden/fast camera movements will also startle the cats, causing them to run away.
