I just did my expected last spray yesterday, will see how they go this year. Mine is just a new little orchard just over 12 months old. That peach is absolutely loaded with buds. That's crazy

@@33kiel good luck mate 👍, sounds like you are on top of it! I hope you get a great harvest.

Great demonstration, Paul. Most copper-based sprays are banned here I believe. I'm not sure of the reason why, but it means the only real way I can control leaf curl here is by covering the trees from the rain over winter.
@UrbanBountyАй бұрын
@@PeterEntwistle hi Peter, that is really interesting. I remember Brett once told me the same thing. I wonder why too because I think the copper spray is allowable input even for organic farms here

Good reminder we need to start watching and get ready to spray

Thats about the only fungus we dont get much if up here, thankfully. On a side note Paul, how satisfying is the sound a container makes when it is almost full of water! Or am i just a weirdo?
@UrbanBountyАй бұрын
@@dougs_urbanfarm lol you are definitely not a weirdo mate, there are 365 days in a year and I reckon I tap my water tanks to check the level on about 300 days of the year. I'm not sure how copper works to kill fungus but it definitely irritates the skin when it touches but from memory it is classed as an allowable organic input. I just removed all the pepino because of fruit fly and even if the eggs do not turn to maggots, the bacteria still renders the fruit inedible. The plus side is that the awesome guabiju seedling you sent down years ago is now in full sun because until now it was always hidden by the pepino

Missed the boat with our dwarf ANZAC but will spray this weekend. Great advice, as always.

@@matthewspatch9529 Gday Matt, you should still get some benefits by spraying from now until spring. I think about your garden often, and your avocados. I hope they are doing well

@UrbanBounty thanks Paul, hopefully back into it soon.

Can i still spray as the tree has started blossoming? thanks
@UrbanBountyАй бұрын
@@user-fk2fs5ls3m hello, from what I have read online it might be too late after blossoming because of bees but you could probably still spray the trunk to reduce your leaf curl this season. Cheers
