SO, I stumbled upon this chanel doing a search for the TYM4820. Why you ask? Well I purchased one and I'll be picking it up this week. I went ahead and had them add the two rear remotes and orders an Iron Craft 6' land plane, I found online a great deal on a quick hitch and a top link hydrualic cylinder. A wee bit of history; back in the late 70's I worked a Dairy where I was the cheif operator for all the fieled work, I was maintaining about 1200 acres. I love farming BTW, but now that I'm a "city" type I attend a church that has a large gravel parking lot. So after some research back in '22 I bought a Kioti CK4010SE Hydro with all the similar attachments as previously mentioned. Another person at our church was to maintain the drive now but he didn't step up so I used that for an excuss to dip the toe back into the water. I was fortuant to have a TYM dealer 5 miles from my house and first looked at a T25. As another friend today said, "well you can pretty much maintain the driveway with a JD318 if you like it's all a matter of how much time you want to take to do it." Good thought, so another reason I stepped up. I was almost sold on the T474H but then the dealer told me to compare the rear axle housings and my mind was set, the 4820 is massive. I am not sure about the 3 or 4 speed hydro on the 474H but I like you do like the idea of having 4 ranges. I look forward to more info from you and will try and keep you updated on my 4820 journey.
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomesteadАй бұрын
I like you could see the difference in the overall build of the 4820 and that’s coupled with the kukje engine really sealed the deal for me!
@lambsweetАй бұрын
@@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead Well, some bad news but it might just be something to expect? Not sure. I am still waiting for my delivery; The Dealer ordered the two additional rear remotes and when they got the parts in they found that one of the valves were stuck so they had to order another one in. Once it came in now I'm waiting again for an opening to have the mechanics install it. Guess that's OK but a little disappointment in quality. Bright side, my land plane arrived :)
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomesteadАй бұрын

Thanks for the info! I’ll check into it. I wonder what the problem is with Rim Guard. Seems like it is marketed as a safe biodegradable ballast too…
@mikerequa820Ай бұрын
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead well I'm not sure but the 2 tire shops I talked to said it was a real sticky nasty mess to break a tire down to fix it so they didn't mess with them. They also don't put rim guard in tires either. I put mine in myself but you wouldn't think that if they put the rim guard in they would be willing to fix a flat on it. That's in sw missouri. You might check around in your neck of the woods see what they say about it.

I just don't use the auto throttle much T474, often because I'm running a pto implement, and I don't want it to increase rpm if I push the pedal too far. It's really easy to deactivate, just pop the cable end out of the holder right at the fuel control unit on the right side of the motor. Takes 30 seconds. And can easily put it back if you want auto throttle back "on". Good job addressing the folks (probably me...on my deer farm channel....) who, not necessarily have concerns, but more comments, on the tyms. Also, I wish I had a good dealer close to me....mine sucks. But Fortunately there are good dealers willing to ship parts and supply answers! When are you putting on your third function!? @ProductiveRecreationАй бұрын
Right there with you on simple and mechanical. That engine is in the TYM 474 and 494 as well. Nice machine! Enjoy it. That’s the frame size machine I’d like myself, but a new tractor isn’t in the financial cards right now. I don’t think you need to worry about the 540e PTO setting clogging the DPF as long as you aren’t lugging the engine. Idling and lugging the engine are what lead to more particulates in the exhaust for the DPF. Use the amount of power (throttle) you need for the job, and avoid lugging the engine and I think you’ll find it doesn’t need to regen very often.

🎉 go gratulations on getting a new Tractor. I have been watching you from the day you got your BX I have just recently purchased a Kubota BX25DLB with 124 Hours,it's the model a year before the BX23S came out. So I got for a fare price it's got a broken Transmission cover. Someone pulled the Mower and forgot to pull the output shaft to the mower and the mid pto was on and spun and broke off the threads to the Hydraulic filter. So I think I am going to Tig weld the case and tap out some threads and install a oil filter adapter to get me buy I can get a new Front Transmission cover for little over $180 from Kubota I will need to do what was done to your Kubota when they Split your Transmission. I have watched your video on it several times and back and forth trying to see what I needed to do to get the repairs done and having the information that is out there Is very helpful. I only own 17 plus acres. So I'm sure it's going to work out well. Again I am so happy for you. I was getting a little frustrated with you taking so long on your choice. This when I realized that I am the same way in making my choices and I try to stay with choice's so that I don't have to rely on others to get a repair or something done. Great choice. God Bless. The throttle lever is only there for when you need your RPMs up for the PTO and to use the "cruise control" lever that ive never used. You wont see any real increase in lift capacity by ramping up the RPMS. The loader may become a little more responsive and jerky as well (which i also dont like).

Actually, Massey Ferguson 1800 and 2800 series compact tractors have 12.6 gpm on the hydraulics. I'm in the process of choosing between TYM and Massey. It will probably boil down to price, HP and features. The M series has the option of a 12 gear transmission with a cluthless power shuttle. What a fantastic looking machine which will last you for years to come. Question…….are those rear tires oversized? Seems like very little room between the tires and fenders which could be a problem if you ever somehow got something in between like perhaps a larger branch operating in the woods. Definitely would not want to see a fender getting torn off.
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomesteadАй бұрын
LOTS of comments about that. I looked at the size and they are 16.9x24s and the tech specs say they come with 17.5x24 (which is a couple inches shorter) so yes, I do think they are oversized. It came straight from the factory with them. 🤷🏼♂️

Love the new tractor, first thing I would do is rip off that DPF system. Youl gain performance and be more fuel efficient plus no regen BS
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomesteadАй бұрын
I might normally do the same, but I see some value in running it and being able to share the experience in my content…

@ I can see the plus side to that, gotta get that KZbin $$$$

Its definitely a excellent tractor, but run it on high neighbors down the way, we brought our tractor at the same time he's already had to re -jen . That hour out in the field just letting it high idle in ridiculous, also don't let your tractor run out of diesel.

How is a 45HP Tractor considered Compact?
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomesteadАй бұрын
How they classify compact vs utility is a little muddy to me.

Doesn't look like there's room for chains on the rear tires.
@PeeksPeakHobbyHomesteadАй бұрын
Maybe not. The R4s fit pretty snug. I doubt I would ever use chains where I am though. 🤷🏼♂️

TYM Junk is sure giving these youtube farmers great deals to get their stuff out there. I love the whole they are not complex engines lol no their stuff is old tec. Don't get yourself killed with that high flow rate. You have complaints but saving them. lol
