The Bee Gees have been singing since the late 50's. They have a greatest hit song "To Love Someboy released in 1967 which is a must for any Bee Gee fan. The song was written for Otis Redding who died in a plane crash before it was recorded so the Bee Gees sung it themselves and it as a hit. Night Fever was their disco music in the late 70's.

Bee Gees started in 1958 when they were children. They have hundreds of songs. They were asked to write music for some obscure movie about a guy that liked to dance and had a turbulent life and they wrote all the songs in no time somewhere in the country and never thought the movie would become a hit. Yes, this was pretty much the poplar birth of disco even though disco was already out there but had not exploded.
@sarahburford593825 күн бұрын
I think the Bee Gees' music made the move a hit. I was way too young to see the movie when it was in the theaters, but the music was all over the radio. When I finally got to see the movie as an adult I was really disappointed. The music and the dancing were great, but the story...not so much.

Barry Gibb, the oldest brother, was in his early 30's during this period (mid 70's). The Bee Gees had been around for 10 years or so when this song came out. Before their disco period they had had at least a dozen non-disco hits. They were so much more than disco! Incredibly talented with a career spanning nearly 40 years. In addition to their own singing, they wrote more than 100 songs that were hits for other people. Their musical catalogue is second to none.
