Toms Diner is one of my all-time favorite songs. When the song first came out, my first child "danced" to it in her car seat at 3 months old.It became "our jam". I lost her to cancer 3 years ago. I wish she was around so I could share this cover with her. She probably would've loved it as much as I do!

This is a collaboration of two German bands: In the first room AnnenMayKantereit are playing and Henning May (deep raspy voice) is their singer. And in the second room Giant Rooks are playing, Frederik Rabe is their singer. A little later AnnenMayKantereit join them. AMK does mostly German songs, Henning can also sing without that rasp, his voice is amazing, but I like Frederiks voice even more. Giant Rooks do English songs, even though they are German as well. Henning May pronounced MI and AMK are huge in Germany. Started. Out 11 yrs ago as a street folk 11 rock band. They have covered many classic rock songs in English. Finally you did it... BP you guessed it right with the Bands, the singer with that raspy voice is Henning May and belongs to AMK... the other singer is Frederick Rabe from Giant rooks. Both german Bands! AMK is on the radar here for about 8 years or so. And its nice to see the world taking notice of em. there are many songs of annenmaykantereit you could check out... Tom waits is awesome. He’s also an incredibly acquired taste. Imagine being 19 and going straight to whiskey. Tom waits is whiskey and you probably aren’t going to get it right away. But over time…he gets you. Downtown Train, hold on, rain dogs, etc
