Good job I have the same Sorento but different dash cam brand i installed the rear camera with double sided tape on the cargo dome light and it gave me really good viewing angle also i routed the wire directly under the rubber seal

Pro tip: keep your old license plates so you always have some thin gauge aluminum to make little brackets and stuff out of. Nice install and another cool product to play around with!

Good job. I like the packaging but still my question still remains the same. In case you have accident, how will you play the video. Finally my car already equipped with backup camera so l can't install another back camera.

Appreciate you asking. You set up the connection through the app using wifi. Basically the camera will come up as a wifi connection option and when you connect to it, then you can view the footage from the camera itself. It would need to be converted if you were to try to send to someone else. The rear camera isn't actually a backup camera. You will continue to use that. The rear camera for this is simply to record in the event of a rear impact happens. It's not used as a backup camera. Hope this helps.

I usually install the rear camera from front to back. I tuck the extra wiring above the headliner near the camera. Keeps all of the extra clutter away from the front.

I typically stuff the excess in to the front headliner but with the wire channel in the Sorento, I decided to utilize that. Certainly a matter of choice and what vehicle you're working with. ✌

Fyi, P12 Pro Max does no have ADAS, BSD or LCA would have purchase if it did. Purchased P12 pro instead which does and really like these features. Cameras not as nice and if you already have these features then Max could be much better. For older truck like mine was wanting to add a few modern features so work out very nice.

How is the rearview mirror on normal mode (back to being just a mirror) at nighttime ? Are the lights from vehicles behind you blind you?

Hi Wilfredo. Thank you for watching and asking. We appreciate it. I personally thought it worked like a standard mirror. No difference. It was just the way his mirror mounted to the windshield and the plastic molding around it made it difficult to angle the mirror just right for our sitting position. So the Pro Max has the following major differences: Rear Camera is 2.5k, It has Wide Dynamic Range and has a 64gb SD card compared to a 32g on the Pro. Hello, I have the 12" Mirror strapped to my existing mirror and it's to heavy. After driving for a few minutes, I noticed my mirror can not support the weight of the smart mirror. Is there any aftermarket braces or brackets that could l help??

Hi MrShon, thank you for watching and sharing with us. Very sorry to hear that you're having that issue. It shouldn't weigh the mirror down at all unless the mirror ball is worn out. Unfortunately I don't have any solutions such as braces or brackets that would work and allow the mirror to be adjustable still. We hope you're able to figure something out.

This is one of the few downsides to it, the proprietary file format that you need their app/site to view those files and convert them from. Hello and thank you for watching and sharing. We really appreciate it. I got a good laugh out of it because the extent of what I do with wiring is never a requirement for these. I just hate seeing wires. It looks lazy in my opinion so I go a little further than others to make it look clean and almost factory. There are other ways that are much simpler though. Just not as clean and hidden. As long as you have a dashcam, that's all that matters in the long run. Take care and stay safe out there!
