Honestly that first meal was great. Those vegetables softened the right amount. No flying onions. The buns were toasted perfectly. My only two suggestions: buy the beef hot dogs (the cheap chicken/pork ones are disgusting), and use better cheese, maybe even place the slices on top the food on the pan so it melts more.

The point of the food is to be cheap as possible while still being very cheap (the meal only cost 95 cents). Beef hot dogs cost more than the pork ones Clem was using, and same deal with the cheese. It would however make the food tastier, but it would also up the cost quite a bit.

Not sure how prices are in the US specifically, but you can make pretty nutritious meals in most places around the world for far cheaper than using prepackaged stuff. More expensive to start with since you buy larger quantities of everything, but it comes out to be way cheaper per portion.
