This summer a crow got hurt and landed in front of my house and we called animal protection to come and pick it up. While we were waiting, my little cousin wrapped it around a blanket and held it in his arms. It didn't try to escape, it just stood still, maybe out of fear or it just knew there was nothing to be afraid of. I took the chance to pet it's head with two fingers and it was looking at me with those deep black eyes. I got to see upclose how shiny and beautiful it was. They ended up coming and picking it up thankfully. I hope it's okay and perhaps will remember us next summer

Maybe it’s a terminology issue? Where I’m from we call it contrabass and it’s easy to know what that is. I even had a friend who plaid it and used to hang out at his concerts all the time... I would never guess that a double bass is that though! I thought it was some type of a bass guitar until I read this comment.

Naps we're a punishment for me growing up. I got night terror's alot as a kid, so I was always anxious about going to sleep. After my mom found that out, she started using it as a punishment, and would keep checking on me to make sure I went to sleep. As a teenager I made fun of other teens for taking naps. I had a bad childhood, and took a lot of my anger out on the people around me when I wasn't at home. Anyway, point is, as an adult, with a 55 hour work week, a wife and 3 kids, naps are amazing when I get to take em. I still have night terror's, but I'm better adjusted to my mental disorders and I'm able to to take them in stride now. Side note for @JaredDines: I had a very religious upbringing, oneness pentecostal, and my family believed in prayer, over doctor's, so i never found out i was autistic until i was 25, when decided to try antidepressants. I also didnt know i was schizophrenic, or that i have 7 other major mental disorders. You talk about your religious upbringing alot, but im curious about what denomination it was, and how strict it was. You mention alot of 90s contemporary christian bands, dc talk, toby mac, p.o.d., mercy me, ect. So as far as how strict my upbringing was, i went to only two different churches until i was 11, and they were so strict, we could even listen to any of the bands if any of the members had tattoos, or if they made music videos, cause that was like, the biggest sin. Anyway, it would be cool if you saw this.
