My ex made every excuse in the book for not allowing me to come over to his place, laugh off any concerns I had about him and our relationship, put pressure on me to be intimate with him, would ask me strange "what if" questions with different scenarios, would alternate between telling me that I was the best thing that ever happened to him to being cold and distant towards me, would not introduce me to his parents or siblings, gaslighting me, I feel like an idiot for not catching on sooner. 😒

I dated a guy for 6 years. All through high school til I was 21. He went off to college and lost a lot of weight. He'd tell me stories about his friends and meth... He said it was a good thing that I didn't have the kid I got pregnant by him with cause "I Would of told everyone you were a heroin addict hooker and took the kid." I had never even seen heroin or a prostitute in real life. He would go to parties and I could never go cuz "No one is bringing their girlfriends." One thing was he wouldn't let me attend his high school graduation party. I jus thought he wanted to hang with the boys. But he ended up doing crazy drugs in crazy ways before and after he left to college. Used said drugs to make girls have sex with him. Told me to get tattoos and piercings. I was devastated when he left me for good but 3years later I realized I was trying to make something work that wasn't SUPPOSED to work. I finally realized the pieces didn't fit because they weren't supposed to fit. Trying to make a square peg fit into a round hole. I try explaining this reasoning to devastated and heartbroken people. I met my best friend and soulmate 5years after my ex left me and almost sabotaged myself by being overly insensitive to my new man. But he stuck it out with me and I experienced the most satisfying and deepest love and friendship I could of ever dreamed of.

I was too busy with work and school to realize that my wife has been doing meth and bringing random guys to our apartment whenever I’m away. I caught her when she got a seizure and passed out with her phone unlocked, found her Snapchat logs and her meth kit. Filed divorce papers the next day.

Wow.. at 19:45 I know someone kind of like that! She lied about having cancer, she constantly doesn’t have enough money for bills/gas/food despite supposedly having multiple jobs. Always had stupid excuses like oh I don’t have enough gas money because I had to pay a doctor bill or had to pay to get a flat tire fixed or someone broke into her car and stole her money, etc. I helped her financially for years thinking one day she would finally be all caught up and good. For so long I just wanted to get her to a good point where she could take care of herself but I realized hey wait a minute.. I work one job and don’t make that much money and yet I’m paying my bills and helping her and yet she and her roommate (two adults with jobs) don’t have enough money to pay their bills? Even when I started living on my own she still needed help and I’m like damn my bills are higher now and you still need help? I couldn’t do it anymore. She would constantly say no one cares about her bc they aren’t helping. I wish I would have woke up a long time ago

And even then that he was telling me how wrong Hollywood is about the sensation of war and he actually started to open up about his experience. He suffered from PTSD badly. He was a cold man.
