I have cleaned upholstery for over 6 years. this is common when the customer has already tried to clean it but never extracted the cleaning product. as the cleaning product sits on the fabric it continues to work and starts to remove the color, but the color remains on the couch just no longer imbedded into the fabric. Then along comes the cleaner and rinses the couch and poof the color is removed. this is also very common on carpets in front of a shower. soap and shampoo that where not fully rinsed drip off your body onto the carpet and bleach the carpet over time.
@Robert-lc6dv
@Robert-lc6dv 3 ай бұрын
Exactly (was a carpet and upholstery cleaner myself years ago). The Defendant was a jerk for sure, and didn't explain his point properly. Then the Judge got hung up on "bleaching agent", because he should have said cleaner or detergent. Plus, it soesnt make sense the exact same process on the other couch didn't change its color; clearly the stained couch had something different, and the most likely answer is they had attempted to clean it themselves using a product that caused a chemical reaction when the pros cleaned it.

While cleaning the first the other soaked all that cleaning solution. The first couch he did managed to clean quickly enough that it didn’t bleach but by the time the second happened it started losing its color as he cleaned. It’s why one got damaged and the other didn’t.

I believe the defendants theory BUT thats something they shouldve found out upfront and had them sign a waiver because the wrong chemicals coming together accidently could've caused the problem. But they deserve their money back because he can't prove it but it is a fact that he made himself responsible either way.

He took the couch so nobody would have the evidence that he screwed up. Or he was trying to tamper with the couch to somehow make it look like the plaintiffs did it. Either way, he took the couch because he was up to no good.

Sorry, I believe this was wrong- how do we know the plaintiffs did NOT try to clean it themselves previously with a certain chemical? Because they said so? The defendant witness seemed very credible with the all green/natural ingredients in their cleaners. It could also be something the manufacturer did: they were the same brand, a set, but only ONE was ruined? I don't think the cleaner would use two different chemicals on the same set of couches, one that would harm one couch while the other is fine. I do believe the defendant had an okay argument- why only one couch was ruined.

The judge didn't understand all the implications of the case = the judge didn't just believe all my BS outright. People can't accept that the judge understands---she just thinks it's all crap. You're not peddling rocket science.

They had just had a baby and they were getting ready to move. Probably wanted to get off all the dirt from the old house before having them wrapped to get ready to move into a new house.

I think somthing happened and they put something to clean it. But that’s still semi the furniture cleaners fault.

@@Jsarmy87124 Yeah, do what you want, f*** your couch up? Go after the manufacturer. Oh, yeah, the cleaner was trying to but got sued before it could happen.

Defendant did steal.and tried to hide the evidence. The female plaintiff provided the motive. The defendant's insurance claim had already been denied. LOSER. LIAR. THIEF.
