There are 3 houses on my block. All of the houses are over 100 years old and was told by an expert that our septic tanks are no longer made and would never pass inspection if I ever tried to sell. I live alone and usually after a heavy rain, my toilet is slow to flush, but it still works (owned the house for 40 years). My neighbor on the other hand usually has 10 to 15 ppl moving in and out and their tank is always backed up. I had to call the county as the sewage was starting to encroach onto my property and smells horrible. The point I'm getting at is too many ppl on an old system will not be able to keep up. The plaintiff says she and her kids....3 or 4 ppl live in a studio type apartment and it may be too much for the system to handle. The kids may be using too much toilet paper or one that is not septic tank friendly. Just sayin 🤷‍♀️

Because the Plaintiff did not give the LL a chance to make repairs, she just moved out when there was a problem. She could called the Housing Code Inspectors or the health department. The LL would have been put on notice and a threat of fines if not properly fixed in a timely fashion. Like within 10 days.

My last landlord almost tried to play that game. I lived in that apartment for 17years, as soon as her & her husband walked into my house without permission, the day they bought it from my old landlord I gave 10 days notice and wanted my deposit immediately within 30 days. There was nothing in the apartment that was damaged but even if there were she would have no proof after 17 years that anything wrong wasnt there when I got the place. My old landlord didn't even remember what it looked like 17 years ago.

There is a rent crisis in the world ESPECIALLY FLORIDA! Us natives are being forced out with the rent prices ! It's the same in places in the UK because of second homes and Airbnb. In fact Airbnb was the biggest contributer to this problem because so many people are like well I can make more money with short term rent, so there are very few long term lets available. Soon all these fancy areas that tourists want to go to and city people have second homes in won't have any workers because they can't afford to live there. The few that have always lived there find they live in a ghost town in the winter, so things like village shops shut as they can't survive with the few elderly residents who are from the area and bought their homes before this problem. So they have to travel further and further to find a post office or shops. It is ridiculous.

Some baby wipes say they are flushable because they are made to be treatable/soluble in water. The problem is they take a very long time to break down. Meanwhile paper towels are made to NOT tear at all- they are strongly knit fibers that will not tear, they just bunch up on water.
