Ranveer what is missing is the spice mix which goes on top of fafda and it’s sprinkled as soon as it comes out of the oil. It’s a mix of hing , pepper and rock salt. It also has reason as it makes easier to digest as well as elevates the flavour to next level.

Hum ghar pe banate hai regular... Zara Gujarat ana aur gathiya ki shop par jana aur usse puchna mere bhai.. Pata chal jayega.. Washing soda is not good so its use in very very less quantity... Others perfer baking soda as an alternative

Sir I am from Surat, Gujarat and don't think we gujarati eat only fafda in breakfast. In Gujarat the trend of breakfast is only limited to weekend. All most all gujarati eat farsan only in weekends not everyday. Sir now whenever you come to Gujarat do visit Surat. It is the paradise for foodies like you and me. The taste of all gujarati dishes in surat is excellent. Can not compare wiith the taste of other cities.

The final touch of observations was you served it on newspaper👍👌. You will hardly get disposable packing materials from that wenders. After this pandemic some of them started use food grade paper which is not printed or silver foil coated paper. And the way that how this fafda are eat with besan kadhi,and in saurashtra with fried chilies and "sambharo" kachcha papitas sweet, savory ,and salted salad was cherry on a cake.🙏
