In this vlog, I share some moments from my recent trip to Ibiza. Get a glimpse of the resort I stayed at, a brief room tour, and my usual workout routine at the gym. My good friend got his pilot's license. at 16 and stared with United Air Lines at 20 with lots of different positions and the past 15 years flying the internatioal routes to the far east living in southern Ca. and using San Francisco Internatinal as his home base. Lots of bucks and a great life.

I think you posted another great video, Garrett. Your travel videos got me hooked on your youtube channel, and this one has all the typical qualities of your signature travel blog. I think you captured the natural beauty of the Spanish coastline, as in the ocean and the plants and the warm terra cotta colored architecture and all the aspects of nature really transport your viewers to Ibiza. And yes, we will never tire of your room tours, whatever exotic resort you are at, it does pique our interest. You got your little foodie moments with the Nutella cookies, which is so exotic and available only in Europe. And your wellness tips during travel seem really interesting, like your recommendation to exercise 30 minutes a day and how it can do wonders. I would love to hear more of your travel tips like how you get your body to fall asleep at a certain time in case you need to wake up early (do you take Ambien or melatonin?). This is just a random question, but what do you think about the British Airways pilot Mike Beaton who was recently in the news for testing positive for cocaine? I personally feel that he didn't mean to do harm, but do you feel he could have risked the safety of his passengers if he had traces of cocaine in his system? He did cocaine the night before which he admitted to his flight attendant friend, and she turned him in to the company. However, if he wasn't actively intoxicated the day after, and just had traces of it in his system, could he have still put the flight at risk? Could you elaborate more on what goes on behind the scenes with pilots in that situation, do pilots have to get random drug tests, was British Airways harsh for firing him, would it be too harsh to take away his license, could he get another job as a private pilot, what is your opinion on him? Do you think lab levels are fair, since someone could still have high levels in their system and still be fully functioning? Do you or your father know any pilots who ever dealt with issues of rehab or sobriety? What are your thoughts?

Could you explain a bit about how the check in process for the priority list works with time zones? You mentioned that you have to be right on that 24 hour mark, but doesn’t that vary depending on where you are? I.e someone in NY checking in will be 3 hours ahead of someone in LA checking in. Can you explain the international non rev process? If someone is a United pilot could they fly Lufthansa since they are a partner airline? I assume non rev doesn’t apply to foreign airlines?

Great video, I love to travel and try and do it often but unfortunately not as often as you. I have become spoiled and superstitious so I like to always be in seat 1E or 1F. Therefore I always fly business class. The only way to go. Love the videos and traveling through your eyes. ❤

I have a friend who’s dad is a 737 pilot for American and he’s a high ranked captain and spur the moment they decided they were gonna go to London for the day (mind you we live in Dallas TX.) and they decided they wanted to go to Germany too because they could, I don’t know if it’s because they’re rich af or it’s because his dad is a pilot 😂

Over the years I have made realization that if like traveling and want a lot of money, then airline pilot is the absolute pinnacle of that. However if you like the thrill of flying and getting your rocks off in the sky, then FIGHTER PILOT is the pinnacle of that. Ones about flying, the other is about exploration and money.

Not everyone has the opportunity to play their cards right to become a fighter pilot, some don't realize that's something they want to do or that it's even a realistic option until it's way too late. Impeccable health, good vision, and being able to handle high G forces are a must for any fighter pilot. Would have loved to do it, however past 30 years old the military is no longer interested in training someone to become a commissioned officer and fighter school is very selective on top of that. If you don't make it you have to serve the remainder of your contract in some other MO you have no choice over.

I know it's not the intent, but these videos just make me so freaking sad. My hubby is on his way to becoming a pilot, and I DREAD when he's gone on these gorgeous adventures without me while I'm home taking care of the house and kids. He'll be out living a bachelor-like life of adventure, while I'll be stuck here. I am grateful for my home and family, but sometimes I think of the future of his career and I dread being a single, married mom at home while he's hanging out in tropical places. Its great Rachel could travel with you. What happens when she can't anymore? What happens when you're off having adventures all by yourself and she's stuck at home handling all its responsibilities by herself? I genuinely want to know. How do pilot couples make this work without jealousy, lonliness, bitterness.....dang, even cheating...? How? I dread it!! 😥

Stop worrying about him cheating… and lemme tell u somn u can have a “on the ground job” and still not make it home quite frequently… but anyways you can also go with him sometimes it’s not all bad.. pilots get days off consecutively. More than other jobs… longest time he’ll spend overseas is maybe 3 days straight unless some issues pop up with the aircraft .. then blues back home go 2 days or more consecutively.. I prefer that schedule..
