Tonight, I show you how to make a beautiful, tasty Persian Shish Kabob, also known as Kabab Chenjeh.
This differs from what you might be more familiar with, Kabab Barg, but it is equally as delicious and a bit easier to prepare.

I followed your recipe to the tee and it turned out great. I used a gas bbq and cooked the meat for a total of 5 minutes. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, my grill is a bbq charcoal grill converted into a gas “Mangal” for convenience. My previous gas mangal broke so I needed a new one and gas is very hard to find. But there are plenty of charcoal mangals available.

If I’m making Shish kabobs I would Marinate the beef with vinegar and Season it also leave it overnight and then I will cook it to be honest I would not cook the meat the same day it would be too Chewey.

The broiler on the top of the inside of your oven is like an upside down grill. Get a grill pan (with ribs to let the juices run off) or even just a sheet pan lined with foil for easier cleanup, put it on a high rack, and turn on the broiler. If you’re less confident, start with the low setting on the broiler so it won’t cook so fast, but the high setting will give you a crispier result at the higher temperature. If your oven has no broiler (I had one in an apartment that was probably 50+ years old), turn up the oven heat to its highest setting, 450-500F.

Looks really nice, thanks but I don’t like skewing/mixing meat and vegetables at same time. You are contaminating veggies with raw meat but That’s just me...
