Anyone who complains about Austria 2002 should be ashamed. Every single Barrichello win that year was gifted by Schumacher. In Hungary in 2002, Michael was P2 but comfortably faster than Rubens, he just refused to pass him. USA, as you mentioned, he slowed before the finish line. In Italy and Germany, 0.2 seconds behind. He was literally letting Rubens win and not on one occasion! And if you still complain, go back to 2000 Spanish GP and watch what happens at lap 50.

This is this best Ferrari F1 car ever made, but my personal pick for best F1 car ever is the F2004, I agree that the W11 is a monster and watching Hamilton and Bottas doing laps on it was a pleasure, but what the F2004 achieved at that time was insane, it set very high standards in F1 to the point FIA made sure they won’t win in 2005 (until USA lol), and the fact it still holds the race lap records in Monza and pre-2022 Melbourne is insane

The F2002 was a great car. Without a doubt, but the F2004 was better in every aspect. I have talked to some Ferrari engineers and to Marc Gene who explained why and thats also the reason why the F2004 is named first when it comes to the best Ferrari ever. The F2002 was not stiff enough in some areas. This made the car slower towards the end of the race. This lead to Ferrari improving much in this area and doing a lot of research and the F2004 was perfectly stiff where it needed and lighter where it did not need to be stiff. So the F2004 was not only the first F1 car built with this engineering approach(what is still used today), it also made the F2004 a much better car than the F2002. Marc Gene still says this was the perfect car! And also the Ferrari engineers say that the F2004 was superior to the F2002 in every aspect. So - the F2002 was without a doubt an amazing car, but the F2004 was definetely a much better car. And thats not my standards - its the standards of the Ferrari engineers of these days and the drivers like Marc Gene, who was testdriver for Ferrari in those days.

Of all the championship winning Ferraris Michael Schumacher drove, to me, the most overlooked is the F2003GA. Although it won both titles, the heatwave in Europe nearly derailed Ferrari's hopes. It was in this car that Schumacher produced one of his most astonishing pole laps. In Austria, he was fast all weekend, in the Friday qualifying session, he set the fastest ever lap round what was then the A1 Ring, so would run last of all in the Saturday session to decide grid order. He was down on Kimi Raikkonen's time at the first split, but worse was to come. The back of the car stepped out on deceleration for the second braking zone on the track. He'd blown it surely? Not a bit of it! He, despite the moment, gained time on Raikkonen in the second sector and by the end of the lap, he was faster by 0.03 seconds

That is said because of the F2004 was more perfect. Not many people know that the F2002 was not stiff enough and also had some other problems. The F2004 was just more perfect. F2002 was a ridicilously good car but I still think F2004 was even better. In 2002 Schumi was simply better than in 2004. Another factor which I forgot to mention in my original comment was just how op F2004 was in pre-season testing.
