PEST CONTROL IN THE GARDEN | WHICH IS BEST??

I attract green lizards, friendly snakes, birds, wasps, and frogs to my garden. I don`t clear all the weeds out and plant very thick too and mulch with grass, leaves, and pine straw, and use a tiny amount of seven dust. But what I mainly do is grow things bugs don`t really like in warm weather in central Louisiana, and in winter I grow greens, turnips, radishes, etc, and grow some warm weather vegetables like self-pollinating cucumbers and dwarf tomatoes in hydro gardens/buckets inside. I made friends with a bunny during the drought last year so I ordered an easy to set up bunny fence. I`ll plant her a small patch of her own. She`s fun to have around.

I am not aware of any interaction with it and other fungi. It will colonize on plant tissue.

To prevent early blight on tomatoes, is there any benefit on watering your transplants with Total Disease Control before putting the tomatoes in the garden since it is taken up by the roots. Great show.

I was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's at 57 years old. In reviewing the symptoms, it became clear that I'd begun showing them at least 7 or 8 years before, which means that within 6-8 years, I could be fully immobile and with cognitive decline similar to late stage Alzheimer's. The causative agent appears to be long term exposure to the insecticide 'Sevin' (carbaryl), exposure to which has shown a 455% higher incidence of Parkinson's. Many of you may remember the 'good old days' when we thought products like Sevin and Rotenone were 'the good ones', which had taken over from such historical killers as 2,4D and DDT. The joke was on us... Long story short; poison is poison folks, and if it can kill a bug it can kill you too.

Garden insect spray would be the friendliest on bees. Always spray late in the afternoon, when the bees are lass active. Greg

Let me tell you! I bought some bug buster 2 a while back and never used it. Yesterday I gave in because my garden was, and I repeat WAS, absolutely covered in leaf footed bugs! I sprayed that bug buster 2 yesterday and they are 100% wiped out! And the best part is I only put about an ounce in a gallon sprayer. I’ve still got plenty for my fall garden IF NEEDED!

Mr Hoss, do y`all have any of those Southern multiplying onions and walking onions yet? I failed at starting multiplying onions from seeds. I think they were fake. I used to have a huge patch of multiple types of walking onions and lost my start of them I took with me when I moved due to chaos. I refuse to get scammed on the A site again...and pay 20 bucks for 4 "seeds" whatever that might be.

Thank you sir! I`m ordering some. I just planted leeks and two bunches of green onions from the store but I have armadillo issues. I`m trying red pepper, peppermint, and homemade pine sap oil to keep them away. Last year I tried garden alarms and two break barrels 22 & 30 cal but there`s hundreds apparently. I cussed one giant one who walked up during the day and he stood there listening, then came over and sniffed my foot! LOL! @@gardeningwithhoss

Tried growing turmeric and it was a total FAIL. TRIED THREE TIMES. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG. I NEED PLANTS. Also does the fungi mix kill the beneficial mushroom spores needed in soil??😊

Monterey Nematode products wipes out all nematodes- good and bad. You would need to add the good ones back. That is the reason, we don’t sell it. Greg

Some great information in this video. Kind of narrows down what you need to have on hand a little bit. Would be nice to know if you can mix some of the fungus sides with pesticides. I am also curious how you have to store these, currently mine are in the garage and gets pretty hot in the summertime Here in the south ,does that degrade chemical composition? decrease the longevity of it?
