Something I like about this scene that many people don't talk about that much is the use of Jameson. Usually he is just comic relief and foil for Spider Man. In the MCU his role isn't just complain about Spider man every second for jokes but he acts as the voice of Peter's self doubts and fears. His criticism towards Spider man doesn't only affect people's trust in the hero but Peter himself in the moments where he is emotionally vunerable, making him belive that Jameson might be right, that he just makes things worse by being hero. The fact that Peter choose to keep doing the right thing really shows his will power to be hero and not be define by Jameson words.

Just like captain America: Peter Parker, I know your story and I know you are my fans but I want you to know is being a hero isn’t because money and face, is justice and people can’t define you but you can just not by the word, by your action .

@@ptitoursmauve3117 It makes him the equivalent of what Flash Thompson in Peter Parker life. Just like Flash, Jameson is just another bully who keeps beating Spider Man down, making feel guilty and inferior. The difference is that Flash actually learns and grows into better person in the comics while Jameson took longer to redeem himself.

@I'm *Invincible title card* Yeah, and in the end he returns to be Spider Man and actually tells in Jameson face that he will never give up. That was Peter greatest victory over Jameson, not by punching but by not letting himself be affect by Jameson words and instead belive in his own confidence, in himself.

To me this is the scene that changed him. Changed his mentality, his outlook on himself, his view of the world. This was the moment his character switched completely, this isn’t the same Peter Parker we saw in homecoming and far from home or even the beginning of this movie, may’s death and this scene was what may have changed him forever and for the best… The Spider-Man. A tragic hero.

PETER changed the moment he got unblipped and Stark died. I feel before that Peter felt that being a super hero was a joke and after Peter witness people he love dying right before him woke up his eyes as a person. This scene here was the mental near death experience of Spider-Man though in this scene. And we almost just got a darker version of Andrew Spidey post TASM2. And by darker I mean dark lol.

With the budget and profitability marvel movies have, there is almost no excuse to take time and make films that are always at least as good as this one. The only problem is that Disney knows people will see the film no matter if it’s good or bad, they just don’t care, it’s just shareholders now. Sorry to rand but I love these characters and it pisses me off that they continue to make crappy representations that people whole heartedly defend without thinking about how much better it could be if we were all just more patient.

I love how this movie deals with Peter facing self doubt and public backlash in the movie. Even though he got his charges dropped by Matt Murdock during the whole Mysterio controversy, he still had to deal with the city being split on whether or not to trust him. He gets sh*t on by the Daily Bugle who follow him in helicopters, rant on him on the news, and have easy access to call damage control because they are team Mysterio. Peter also has to deal with the fact that he is easily to get attacked in broad daylight for example, he gets a lot of heat from protesters at his house and school, some of the staff at the school are team Mysterio and don’t trust him people throw bricks in his house with Mysterio propaganda, some people throw green paint on him and also they spray paint Mysterio propaganda on FEAST building with Spidey on it. On top of all that he has to live with everyone knows who he is and they are taking photos of him and are asking him to use his powers in school (that’s a deleted scene that’s gonna be in the extended cut). Overall this scene all together is one of the reasons why I love this movie, it cuts to the heart of Spider-Man and that being Spider-Man doesn’t always have a happy ending and comes with consequences. With all the things he faces in the entire movie with the unmasking, Mysterio controversy, the unsuccessful curing of the villains and aunt May dying, this scene hits hard.

I feel like this is where Peter first gets the idea that he wouldn’t be putting his loved ones in danger if they weren’t around him and honestly I’m happy they tired to do that with this scene, but to us as the audience we first think Jamesons the asshole and just hating on Spider-Man when in reality he’s just stating facts. I really like this very of Jameson he’s the most realistic version of someone who would be in the position he’s in if Spider-Man was real, all the collateral damage in all the Spider-Man movies there’s a good reason why he would honestly hate Spider-Man
