I still can’t watch this without crying. When I was a kid, when I went to my grandparents’ house, I always listened to this song several times while wearing my grandpa’s big headphones and curled in his big beige corduroy recliner that was next to the record player. But then growing up had to happen. Innocent days when I thought the ringing in my hears was how everyone knew it was time for bed and I still believed that popcorn cured all the world’s ills had to go away. I wish I could go back to those days sometimes, and that my own daughter could have experienced those happy things on that big beige recliner in a big house out in the country.

Why is it that whenever I hear Peter, Paul and Mary perform this song, I smile as my eyes begin to water? And to watch the adults and children in the audience sing along as they smile. So many people criticised the youth of the 60s. Our music, our dress and mannerisms. We all grew up in the 40s and 50s getting ready to meet and survive a force from across the sea. Our music had purpose to make those times bearable and not so scary. All of the great entertainers of the day helped in that cause. PPM made us smile, cry and reflect on what was good in life. I am 73 now and if it were possible to slip into a rift in space and be thrown out in another time, the 60s would be my destination. Thank you.

Aaaah, this group is just magic and I have always loved them. It's one of my favourites of theirs and the songs are what children should be listening to. Fun songs using imaginations - I'm a 72 year old " child" and could listen to these songs all day. Not the modern stuff kids listen too - too much foul language which has become the norm 😢. Thank you.

Hands down the best concert I attended was PP&M. It was in the 1980's, and I have never had a better time. Singing this with them after listening to it most of my life was magical.
