Hi I wouldn't call her 'nasty', but her response did seem a bit silly. Every entrepreneur makes their own decision to risk a stable income as an employee in order to build a business. Even if the business fails they have all the learnings from that. To tell an entrepreneur to go back to being an employee is something I would find insulting to their courage to explore entrepreneurship.

Woodroffe appeared on the first series of Dragons' Den. However, after only one series of the programme, he left the panel. Woodroffe stated that the reason behind his departure was: "The show became a battle of egos - not a forum for business innovation. The thing to remember was that when you walk up the stairs to pitch, it’s not five people necessarily thinking, 'How am I going to be able to make an investment here?', they’re also thinking, 'Am I going to be the star of this next little piece?'. That's not how I was told the show would go down.". Spot on.

For example Toukers foundations were after he brought home some textiles that was popular with his mother group of friends and she sold them on his behalf, he eventually took it to a larger market. For the most part the Dragons don't run their business, they have people that run their business for them. If you look at Peter Jones, after multiple failures he was basically homeless at the age of 28, he got a job at a tech company and then later got promted until he ran it, he then used that leverage to increase his fortune. You know a lot of dog mats actually incorporate in this idea now right? Just because a dog owner doesn't car about smell doesn't mean their guests won't.
@justanotherviewer4821
@justanotherviewer4821 3 жыл бұрын
@@quark_E This is true, as dog owners usually go nose-blind until the dog stink a lot. There is also a big difference between sniffing a smelly dog and the scent left around the place absent of the dog... humans are always going to pin point the strong source of the smell rather than other areas less intense. Smell is typically through bacteria and heat and moisture makes it worse... a dog mat like this would reduce the build up and thus reduce the problem. People with this product will of course still wash their dog

What this guy screwed up at is that he doesn't tell them what Vets, THOUSANDS, say about how bad washing your dog is too often. I have washed my dog once a month and his skin became so dry. 72 dog breeds get excema for skin if you wash them more than 3 times a year.. That's how he could have proved it WITH vets letters.. That would have been the first thing I did.. There are over A BILLION of us that HATE the smell and ALL of them were wrong because it's a multi BILLION dollar industry today just for this product..

I'm pretty sure that if your dog smells bad, more than a normal doggy smell, & you're washing them regularly, you should probably talk to a veterinarian about it. Also, I think these blankets would be a nice idea, they'd make a good gift, but he may not make as much money as he thinks.

Implementing the mat into some sort of 'shoe box' would have a larger market appeal. Then trial at at TJ Maxx etc where customers can use the box in the store and see the difference it makes. Imagine if shoe boxes used this technology so when you buy shoes you have the option of paying extra to get the odour absorbing box instead of the regular cardboard ones. Or maybe make a pad or soul that sits inside the shoe, you put it in once you're done using them and take it out before putting them back on.

A lot of dogs, often entire breeds, are susceptible to skin problems especially when the dog is older, which can resort in dog odour no matter how many times you bath your dog in a week. A mat that reduces odour and is certified allergen-free could certainly reduce problems, moreso with older dogs that prefer to spend more time relaxing.
