Nice to see you stretch your design muscles, usually your so constrained by your clients wishes. It's a really beautiful table, I love the tiger striping on the inside of the legs. And for those that gripe about the Lamello... pocket holes maybe? it's a pretty thick area for that... I'm sure I could figure out several different ways to make it work without the expensive tool if I thought about it for a while. And it's not a large table anyway, not really needed to flat pack it unless you drive a Mini.
@10MinuteWorkshop

Hi Peter, I just finished watching you build that beautiful side table for your daughter, simply an artwork! I was pleasantly surprised that using wood glue on the face of birch plywood did the job. I would have thought that the glue would not bond on the smooth face of the plywood, and some roughing up would be necessary. As a beginner in woodworking, I would appreciate your comment/suggestion. Thanks in advance
@10MinuteWorkshop
@10MinuteWorkshop 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Serhat! No, I’ve never had a glue joint like this one fail; if I was bonding a couple of hi-gloss faces together then I’d scuff the surface to give the adhesive something to key into, but otherwise just plenty of glue,clamps, and time to let it set. 👍👍

Hello. What’s the very cool wood pattern on the legs called at 7:47? The interior designer Kelly Wreastler has some furniture pieces that I thought was a paint job but now see is a craftsmanship feature. Thanks! Tiger stripe pattern-you said it at the end.

What was that bit of hardware that you used to make the legs removable? And the tool that cut the slots? Great video. Might have to build one for myself. New couch and the old tables don't fit.

They’re Lamello Clamex connectors. You need a Lamello Zeta P2 to use them. More on these and others in the Jointing systems playlist - bit.ly/JointingSystems

Hi Peter have you done a video on how you've set up your track saw?
@10MinuteWorkshop
@10MinuteWorkshop 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Aaron. Not sure what you mean by ‘set up’? I did a 7-part ‘Tracksaw Workshop’ series, videos 277-283, video 284 for more about blades, #285 puts the cheap Titan against another cheap saw from the TW series, vid. # 286 for the role that the splinterguard plays in the process of getting the best from the blade you have. Also videos #182 & #183 for the MFT bench with the hinged rail. Pretty sure most of the related videos are in the tracksaw playlist, if that helps. 👍👍

Another great vid mate, I also enjoy the British chat, lol, more appealing. However, a question pops up, how strong those plastics? I know the table is not for standing on, but I do have such habit 😊. Happy holidays ahead.
@10MinuteWorkshop
@10MinuteWorkshop 5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The Clamex connectors are stupidly strong - they apply something like 80Kg of clamping pressure per fitting, so somewhere around 700lbs between the four fittings. Probably enough, I think! 😆🤷‍♂️👍👍😂
