@Muhammad Salafi That's a long story: duckduckgo.com/?q=confederate+flag+meaning&t=ffnt&ia=web Until I'd looked it up just now, I never knew there were different designs to the flag, I only knew of the orange flag with the blue cross and stars. As you'll see from reading up on it, there are many different meanings to the flag, depending on who's perspective you're looking at it from.

I live in Northern California, and we are about 2 hours away from where it looks like this. We are surrounded by fields of agriculture with the Sierra Nevada’s off in the distance on one side, and the Coastal Range on the other. You should show people the Northern California coastline. Breathtaking. Maybe the northern Redwoods, too.

I would honestly say that much of CA is similar to the cities in this video. Everyone thinks about the coast and big cities along the ocean however CA is really long and it’s somewhat wide too so once you go in towards land more away from the ocean, there are many national forests and lots of agriculture so you have many towns like the ones in this video. CA has more national parks than any other state and we by far have the most agriculture in the country so there is a lot of parts of CA that people aren’t used to seeing on tv and in the news all the time.

Uh no Sir, that's TEXAS you're talking about. My growing up was a mile from the Beach..walked there every day growing up.. Like trees, (like you seem to ) - drive north 200 miles and find yourself in "The Big Thicket", trees you can't see the top of. Tired of being "in the shade" under all those trees, drive west a couple hrs and look at The Hill Country. This isn't mountains. but it's rough hills (great climbing) smaller trees and brush country, lots of streams and rivers through here. OK, if you wear out your welcome here, drive north to the plains...grasslands as far as you can imagine - few trees and waist high grasses - much wildlife here too.. Turn left again (West) and you'll soon be in The Davis Mountains. This isn't the Rockies, but these are actual mountains. You had better be a true mountaineer to walk or climb around here very much. When you get as far West as you can go "in Texas" you're in El Paso. On the north city limits of El Paso you'll find White Sands Desert. Like sand, there's a lot here - looks more like sugar or salt. I had basic training in the Army here. Drill Sergeants liked to have us crawl through this sand with a 100 lb rucksak on our back. . much fun! If you're looking for diversity - TEXAS is the place to find it. Cali is ok I guess, but I kinda wonder why we have so many people leaving there lately, many of them come here.TEXAS HAS GOT IT ALL !!

I grew up in Huntington Beach, but in the mid 70s my parents split and my mom remarried and moved to the "Little Town of Washington." It really is a quirky Gem of a place. All three of my sisters went to school in the K-8 one room school house there. The population has a little bit of everyone. The river is gorgeous, too. It's real quirky in winter when the weather shuts down the turn off from HWY 20. There are some even smaller little hamlets up the logging roads...Graniteville for example, enroute to Bowman's reservoir is on 12 people or so. If you want to slide off the grid in CA, start at the little town of Washington. And yes, there is still gold in the rivers too.

I’m an Australian citizen and have lived and grew up in Australia most of my life. I must say that the glamor, fashion and how media portrays the city of America is really not what it seems and unless you have been there on ground to experience it you will never discover it. You, have however visualised this on your videos and I appreciate your content. The homeless situation in LA really took me to depth of how could this be specially in a county such as America. I must say that it’s worst than I have seen in the provinces of Philippines such as Pangasinan and Puerto Princessa. It really need to be addressed. However it is easier than done. But Thank you and god bless.

You’re right , many isolated areas in Northern California and the Pacific Northwest , I lived in Kennewick, Seattle & Tacoma areas and drove many times across by 101 Hwy & Hwy 5 and others roads . Be safe & blessings from the Sonoran Desert 🌵

Thanks for introducing us to the “other” Cali. I love towns like this! You should check out Rico, Colorado. Old mining town with about 10 buildings. Old mining equipment and tons of Aspens, on the way to Telluride, it is beautiful!

In 2021, I did a travel nurse assignment in the North Bay Area. On my off days, I was often too worn out to do anything super planned out or involved so I would just drive around and take everything in. I spent several days in Lake Tahoe and the surrounding area during Memorial Day. Aside from Sonoma State Park (and the drive along the Russian River to get out there), up in the Sierra Nevadas is my favorite part of CA. This video is making me really homesick for a place that was only home for six months.

Nice to see you and your new wife enjoying the scenery away from the big cities. Northern California really should be a separate state. I grew up in the Los Angeles area, but wild horses couldn’t drag me back to live there again. BTW- every time I see your avatar it looks like you’re wearing a clerical collar!

I wish we could break SF/LA off into their own state. The culture and reality of living in rural areas is totally distinct from the issues of urban city living. A one size fits all approach does not work.

Because many cannot stand the foolish changes that have been taking place under governor Newsom. But many people who left CA during the pandemic are now moving back. They realized CA is just too beautiful to give it up. The redwoods, mountains, oceans, lakes, farmlands, deserts, etc. The weather is heavenly as well. Abundant produce all year around.

It's so crazy to me that city-living Californians can be so ignorant to the rest of the state. One day and a two hour drive out of L.A. could show a whole new world.

I live about an hour north of Nevada City. I've always lived either in the east side of the Central Valley or in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada ("Mother Lode", "Gold Country"). When I'd tell people I'm from California they always think of Los Angeles or The Bay Area. For folks in other parts of the country they don't realize how vast the state is and how varied the geography is. I'm no where near the ocean and its much like other parts of the rural Western US.
