@ that’s what I have is the HD, had it for about 1 year and replaced the battery once and probably going to buy another as a backup. Take care.

I use the desktop version of the Peterson Strobo tuner, also have a BOSS TU-6 and a assortment of clip on tuners as well as the Vintage Conn StroboTuner St-1 - 40s/50s HiFi Vacuum Tube, but the Peterson is probably the best. Cheers Randy ✌

it's amazing really how close most all of them are! Peterson to me seems the overall best and most accurate but that's just my opinion. thanks for tuning in and commenting!

I prefer tuners that can be recharged. I have a couple Fender and a couple D'Addario. The problem with the Snark was lack of brightness. An outdoor gig and it's useless. For the bench (intonation) I prefer tuners I can plug in to. I like the strobe, and have looked at the Peterson. Perhaps they make (or will make) a rechargeable model.

it'd be cool if Peterson ever does! I can see where a rechargeable tuning would come in handy! thanks for your comment and thanks for viewing!

TC Electronic UniTune is pretty good too (Chromatic and Strobe) they boast a +/-0.02 cent accuracy. Got one for 10 bucks during a Stupid Deal Of The Day thing a few years back, if I remember right.

I use a polytune now, which I like a lot better than the Snark.

Don't know if you remember randy' back in the mid 60's when I was a kid TV's would sighn off air at 1:00 am and return back on air at 7:00 am. They would play a continuous high pitch signal ( sign off signal until returning back on air. You could fret the b string on the fifth fret and that would give a standard E 440 pitch on the b string''from there you could tune from the fretted b string 8'th fret to match the open g string and tune the rest using the 7'th fret method. There was another method using the dial tone from a telephone but I've never tried that one and don't know how accurate it was.

I have a BOSS TU-6 here on my desktop under my monitor as a kind of an ornament ... ; very similar to your Ovation. I use a TC Electronic Polytune-Clip when it comes to clip-ons. I'm sure the Peterson would be a good choice as well; they DO know a thing or two about tuners after all ... 😉 For the longest time I used an Arion Stage Tuner when gigging. It's buffer helped with long stage guitar leads as a bonus feature. 👍

I have since purchases a Peterson HD which I really like over all as far as clip on tuners but still prefer my old korg when it comes to intonating and bench work. thanks for having a look!
