Petter 2 cylinder diesel engine hand start

Lovely engines! Just sold my boat with one of these Petters, after nearly 20 happy years of ownership! Re the hand starting, I think initially you weren't giving it long enough on the cranking, and not getting it up to speed before activating the decompression lever. A good burst on the handle to get that flywheel really going fast and up to speed, and then dropping the lever usually does the trick on these Petters. They are usually good starters. Also a second person on the lever can make all the difference! You got her going anyway! Hope the engine goes on to give someone many more years of good service.

You of course realize that you can let KZbin stabilize your video image for you. Don’t you? They basically take the image and make it completely stable and only the frame of the image moves them. An interesting video but kind of hard to watch
