Underrated and under appreciated in it's day (it only reached #26 in the USA) After 30 years I finally heard it on a radio station in Canada (AM 740 in Toronto) which I often picked up in Ohio. They played a lot of those forgotten lesser hits up there all the time. What a gifted and talented lady. While she wasn't rock she could belt out the power ballads and pop like no one else. She just turned 91 last November and I hope she's doing ok.

I am always so entranced by Petula Clark that it has taken me a lifetime to process the cat's life in The Cat In The Window. The lyrics make me sad as I shout out my beloved cats, Mr. B, Olivia, Newbie, Grey, Stripes, Black Jr & Snow. Hopefully all waiting for me at Rainbow bridge. Happy 90th birthday, Pet. Bravo! A lesser known, but still a top 40 single in 1967. Before anyone complains, this song is not edited. The single really was only 1:57 long. Because it doesn't conform to the normal structure of pop songs, it takes a few listens to really appreciate the brilliance.

This was such a wonderful performance of "The Cat in the Window (The Bird in the Sky)"! I bought this 45 rpm 7" single when I was 13 years old back in 1967, and just now posted part of it as the soundtrack to my Facebook & Instagram reels & stories. ☆🧙☆🙌☆🪄☆😻☆🐦☆

The main part of the song is OK, but the ending is weirdly jarring and sounds incomplete. It's a pretty abrupt coda and it sounds like the lyrics were unfinished.
