Brilliant job. I really appreciate the way you share your thoughts in real time and even when you get an assumption wrong (like fearing the customer might not have the option of being able to buy the flexi part and might need a welder) you leave it in and don't edit it away to make it seem as if you're the Oracle of All Things. Honestly build trust. This is why we keep coming back - everyone's learning and seeing the process of step by step troubleshooting is what makes it interesting.

When a DPF fault is not the DPF... Good job, Jimmy! Seems it's suffering from a problem in the flywheel, but that's for an engine mechanic to diagnose.

Dealer sold it with a blown exhaust and an independent inspection failed to spot it? I'd be trying to get my money back from someone.

I mean seriously, first job is check for leaks. I had a 2018 transporter with nox sensor out of range the other month. Was just the convoluted egr pipe on the back of the engine that was split. Another great video, love your work, mate.

The money he saved not going to more garages and getting a DPF can be used for the flywheel and clutch when it needs and still save a fortune thanks to jimmy. You need to tell the customers on the booking form and in the videos a box of chocolate is welcome.

it surprises me that in 2024 that garages can't fix these DPF /AD BLUE /EMMISIONS faults that have been around a few years now .

90% of garages don't have a clue about diagnostics. If the computer doesn't say the exact fault, they're screwed! They just start firing the parts cannon.

I suspect this was under warranty and the garage was potentially terrified about the DPF replacement cost under warranty. If they had put it up in the air, they would have seen the main issue.. Maybe they did, but did not want to pay!!!! Shocking service

Another main dealer TEC, not using his eyes, if he ran the engine he would have seen and felt the exhaust blowing

Bet he was happy with that result 😁. Been watching these vids for a while now and I'm impressed with your methodical approach to fault finding. Also, I know you use the Euro tab 3 which is obviously a great bit of kit. But can you recommend a cheaper launch product that's still capable of doing tasks such as adblue resets/priming, dpf regen/replacements ETC, egr replace/learning and all those other common jobs. I notice a lot of the models don't give very good access to detailed live data. What do you think of the X431 pro3s+ v5.0? Thanks
