For high school, this was remarkable. To have these young people even *attempt* this show is worth the effort. Critics must not be too harsh because these teenagers are limited, but so enthusiastic. Congratulations to all the company of Shasta HS theatre people.

I can tell whoever created this production took great care to emulate the Broadway and film versions... Though the reaction of the chorines when Carlotta is flirting with the owners... LOL

I wish the audio on this video was slightly louder - I have everything turned up as high as it will go and it is still very difficult to hear everything - even at the loud parts!

Sorry about that. The newer videos are fixed but I agree the overall levels are too quiet. We use a different audio person now.

Thank you. As someone who is partially deaf, I am glad that you saw the problem and fixed it. While those with full hearing could probably hear this video just fine, I cannot and I absolutely LOVE this show.

The actor doing the Phantom reminded me of Michael Crawford...I think they did a excellent job with a very difficult musical.

Dang. What is this school's fine arts budget? At my school, ours was miniscule. For instance, our show choir only got $10,000. Our football coach alone got 165,000 so you see sports was king there.

I think for a high school production it was quite well done. I think for a few parts in particular the title song, it was pre-recorded but they actually do that with the Broadway Productions themselves as well.

What are the legality hoops you have to jump through in order to film a production like this? I’m an honors film student in college and we tried to do a live video production of the yeston Kopit phantom but could not get the rights to film the production in any capacity. Did you get special rights to film this production or do they just not really enforce it? because I also considered that possibility.

these musicians sound unprofessional. I say it'd be better it they used a French horn for the solos to coop with the choir. It sounds like they didn't use the proper string instruments, the strings sound out of tune. And the brass is also has some spit in the vales.
