I marched Jr Scouts in ‘87. I remember the first time we saw them in these uniforms. It was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen in DCI. They were breathtaking. I was obsessed with this show and it’s still my favorite Regiment show. ‘87 is the only season I wanted them to beat Madison. Such a great show.

new uniforms plumed helmets the look they carry to this day still the most regal Corps in DCI.

A very musical and beautiful show, which I had the pleasure of seeing live at Camp Randall in Madison, WI. The baritone solo from The Nutcracker is one of the highlights. They crushed the last drum roll. The audience's reaction was easily among the most enthusiastic of any I have seen.

Had a friend marching snare with this legendary line. "Scenes" was my first in person DCI show, first at their rehearsal, then DCI South in Birmingham. Great memories.

The ‘not on tour’ lodging for out-of-towners like myself while in Madison was The Regent dorms, less than a block from Camp Randall. We snuck into the stadium late at night a couple times and played frisbee by the single light that’s above the press box. We mocked PR, but had I not marched Madison, I probably would’ve ended up there. Great show.

old corps marching was something else bro, like new DCI is really cool and colorful and almost magical but old corps was so powerful and disciplined

Amazing they only placed 5th in 87. I marched VK that year and we closed in on them tying Star for 7th with Madison in 6th

The one show I truly wish wasn't a FINALS upload. I don't want to dump on this show either, but this was far and away their worst performance in a month. Prelims or Semis would have been a far better upload (and deserving of their 3rd place those nights)

Would have been cool to have opened the show with three huge BOOMS followed by the Russian National Anthem - which is the way Imperial Balls opened at the Winter Palace!

Is this show inspiration for the traditional toilet paper throwing in the crowd?

No. That was 1983 when they played the 1812 Overture.

so there insignia on their shoulder is of three chevrons, but on their logo it is two. Which is it?
The black is the outline of the 2 white stripes ? Seems they brought that back in the early teens, but only one sleeve.

James Cummings+ I mean I heavily disagree with you, yeah some of the shows are questionable. But I still love them, just as much as the old shows. Times change, and the older PR no matter how odd it got still wants me to throw money at them to be apart of it all. The older shows give you the blast from the past, while the newer shows have some great music and shows. They both are amazing eras that should be appreciated.
