I re-edit my com to the original video: this Garfield episode was the 1st time I heard about Halloween. We didn't have this tradition in France back in the 80's (nor in 90's BTW). I had no idea what it was, I though this was how Americans celebrate Mardi gras.

The main events are the marching bands and children get costumed to ask for candies. It is a secularized holiday in France and in a lot of countries. The most impressive festivities take place in New-Orleans, where the whole town parties for almost a month.

I will say that while Frank Welker is possibly one of the greatest voice actors to ever live, they need to let Lorenzo Music go. As in, probably cast somebody else entirely and let them have their take on Garfield. The shows and specials from the eighties are probably the funniest and best Garfield will ever be, but asking Welker to imitate his old friend forever just isn't sustainable.

The strips are geared more towards adults. One of the earliest Garfield strips featured Jon laughing at Garfield for watching reruns of original “The Mickey Mouser Club”. But Garfield’s thought bubble states, “Shake it Annette.”

I know it sounds crazy. But, my dad had a theory over the old man in the house. And I actually believe it. That when he's telling the ghost pirate story to Garfield and Odie. That the old man was possessed at a very young age by the Cabin boy of the Pirates. And because people thought he was pretending. The cabin boy felt like his story wasn't being heard. So, he tells it all to Garfield and Odie. About how the pirates, the blood contract, and gave them warning. And as a calling card stole their boat to say. "Now do you believe me?" At the end of the episode the ghost of the ten year old cabin boy is at rest. And the man hosts his tv show. It was odd, but it made the episode amazing.

4:28 Seeing how the title is in Spanish it makes sense. For people outside the US and Canada thanksgiving means nothing at all, most wouldn't even recognize the elements that are typically associated with it. Halloween is way more recognizable, even if it's not fully celebrated either. This may not be all that interesting to most but I think is fun to point out all the little cultural differences. I mean, Christmas is usually associated with winter and snow but, during the holiday, we people in the southern hemisphere are melting on full summer.
