For Z-press variation i would add Z-press with feet in "V" position, helps strengthening hips and gluteus medius also( great for Bjj athletes) 🤙

I am a fan of this variation as well!

I think adding a triangle guard variation is key too. I love that guard so much and improved it with the Z-press variation.

Great vid... Thanks !!! Very informative... Strength Mobility is my focus being 59... I look for the multi-functional exercises... I do high rep heavy pullovers .. also is great completion exercise after rigorous shoulder routine.. Opens shoulders back up... I love the stretch it gives me... The bridge version is new to me and now will be added to my routine as with the Z press... I have subscribed and liked Thanks again!!!

When first watching the exercise, I thought it seemed like something you might load a little lighter and do it as a dynamic upper exercise, but he said to do it more as a maximal effort exercise, I'm curious if there's a reason not to do it dynamically?
@jonthealth91873 жыл бұрын
This focus is more on grappling, it's less power based more strength based so for striking I would definitely make it more dynamic but even more sport specific I would do standing press
@joshuasettlage3 жыл бұрын
You can do this exercise as a Dynamic Effort exercise as well! 💪🏽

I think you should specify that your forearms are perpendicular to the floor before setting your grip.
