This is one of the best training videos for explosive power that I have seen. Great job. I like the concept of building from the ground up. Great job to everyone in the video.

Hey Coach Phil, could u do some videos that we can work to, with you? I love the workout tutorials, but u do some workouts (e.g. A 30min dumbell burner, H.I.T.T calorie burn, or something like that) You might have some of those already. I cannot remember off hand. If you already do, please bless us with some more. As well as the tutorials...dope content. Thank you Coach for sharing your wisdom and knowledge.

for these explosive workouts that require weights, how do you go about deciding on the weight? you don't want it too heavy or light. also, how do you progress? just up the weight? won't it get to a point where it's too hard to be explosive?

This looks similar to the heavy hitter I noticed a lot of the time conditioning is combined with weights in the video without break this would be more time efficient is this only in the easier conditioning sessions? Thanks

Awesome content as usual 👌🏻 So you’re doing the conditioning work on the speed day or on ME days too? Isn’t it better to doing it an other day because of the interferences of energetic demands?🙂 Thank you!
@ludovicocamellini73094 жыл бұрын
i think yes but sometimes you need to work all in one in order to simulate a combat body (and mind) activation. Martial art are close to military training in mine mind
@PhilDaruStrong4 жыл бұрын
The conditioning is alactic capacity this does not interfere with speed power or strength due to the energy demands that are integrated. Now if I were to do something like aerobic capacity or lactic capacity this may be disadvantages

Why you guys do medball/plyo stuff AND DE Barbell stuff ? Isn‘t it to much or is it only for peaking or does it Train different Strength types ? As i unterstand defranco he Programs for Example medball/plyo stuff INSTEAD the DE barbell stuff ... then some accessories and calls it a day...
@PhilDaruStrong4 жыл бұрын
Jo sy because we only have a limited time throughout the week to get everything in and I manage the volumes based off of prilepins chart for explosive strength and strength speed.
@PhilDaruStrong4 жыл бұрын
Think of this as more of ballistic action for increased CNS activation

Phil Daru if the average meathead want to do medball chest Passes as DE work will that Transfer over to the ME barbell bench press ? Or does the medball exercise Has to be plane specific to the bench press aka you Need be Lying on your back and Throw medballs in the air ? ...... think i Need some medballs ;)

Joe DeFranco said he thought med ball slams are overrated, because of gravity. Can you comment it?
@PhilDaruStrong4 жыл бұрын
I see where Joe is coming from and he is a good friend but the slam is honestly more for anterior chain or hip flexion explosive strength works to activate muscles that can increase power
