I met one girl who always took what I said out of context. If I said I wanted to go to the gym, she said I wanted to go to the gym to look at girls. If I said I wanted to swim, she said I wanted to look at girls. If I used the bathroom, once I got out she accused me of talking to girls. I got rid of her and then she started her gossip with her friends and family, saying she was doing all these bad things and thats why I left. It was like dating a girl with the maturity of a 12 year old. Needless to say, it didn't last long.

Gary, I call it "environmental awareness." My eyes constantly survey my surroundings. (Mainly for safety sake.) When it comes to seeing a beautiful girl in my line of sight, a friend (girl) once told me "It's okay to look once, but not twice." She also said, "It's okay to have your head in the clouds as long as your feet are planted firmly on the ground." She and I are the best of friends.

What a great and insightful video. I just watched it with my new Pinay and it's like you were describing her! Jealousy over past ex's is really a big deal. When she asks about something from my past, I have started to say no, but she insists, so I tell her, and she gets mad about it! But 5 mins later she's kissing me telling me it's OK. I'll admit, it's a struggle. However, she has never once accused me of looking at other girls, so that's a plus.

Ladies, YOU also need to be aware of one of the things WE (as men) are continually doing when our eyes are scanning our surroundings, we're looking for a potential threat. So not EVERY woman whose presence enters our field of view is being targeted for gawking at. For those instances in which we ARE actually taking notice of a woman who catches our eye, we're also considering whether a shopping trip should include a similarly cut of clothing to get which we think is going to look great on you. We're visual and looking at what catches our eye, but not all of us are good at picking out things hanging on a rack, or knowing what goes well with something, or whether it'd compliment your features. What seems to be a common theme is that due to a woman's insecurity (her problem), by default, our behavior (whether real or perceived) is wrong and must trigger a hissy fit to beg our way out of. Uhhhh.... no. Totally different than some dog getting caught talking her up and trying to catch a feel. But if that's what a man is consistently being accused of, you might be sabotaging the relationship by making him think that if that's what he's being accused of, why not get a little enjoyment from actually doing that. It's that whole "a woman's fears/anxieties/insecurities being present is by default validated by the mere existence of a man being a man", that's the very behavior that drives a man into becoming a "passport bro". Don't BE a western woman. You want to be trusted, learn to give the same level of trust you wish to receive. Men, don't be dogs when you have the chance at a good woman, BE what attracts her. It's definitely a two-way street.

Gary is responsible for your safety and wellbeing, as a man he is (like all good men) looking and scanning every body and every thing so he can be prepared for any situation that arises. Eg. But they should be worried about a woman who will treat him better than she is, that includes not being so disastrously jealous. :)
@gregbaker27882 ай бұрын
As an older man, it is hard enough to get a woman to understand that we mean exactly what we say, in the way we said it. We have learned to be very very precise when communicating with women due to their love of interpreting "what you really meant" (UGH!). Throw in a foreign woman from a different culture and it becomes mind numbing how they are able to interpret from a direction you never saw coming. I have been in heated arguments that took both of us a while before we recognized that neither of us, at that point, were talking/debating/defending the same issue. It is not easy and takes a lot of patience and an openness to communicate and LISTEN to each other.

Speaking of misunderstanding, to all the Filipinas out there having an expat boyfriend and husband even though the common language is English, we really need to study their expressions (idioms) . In each country in which English is the mother tongue, there are still different kinds of expressions. If your boyfriend is from Ireland, never use the American expressions you learned. you know, if the wife is triggered at a restaurant like that it is good to just voice it. I would rather walk in the girl says, nope and you go somewhere else! or you eat there, it's voiced, and you don't choose that restaurant again. That's all. Easier to avoid the problem then to flirt with a line. And yes, some restaurants try to build a customer base on not only pretty girls, but provocatively dressed. I would never go to the hooters or tilted kilts type restaurants with my girl, bc it's #1 not worth it, and #2 you are usually paying a premium for that type of environment. I'd rather have a good burger more reasonably priced somewhere else than paying for the atmosphere of a flirtatious waitress staff.

Even though you are a non-believer it doesn't change the fact that God exists and your values are from him, that's why they are objective which means they are true for everyone whether or not they believe. However, if I am wrong and you are right then you could not possibly have objective moral values, only subjective which means you alone decide what your morals and they would be different for everyone. But as God does exist then Objective values have to be true and we all have a sense of right and wrong proving that point. God Bless.

OK...misunderstandings! How in heaven's name does anyone, especially a man, convince his partner that she is totally misunderstanding that which you have said and that she is wrong in her reaction and thoughts? I, being 80 yrs. old and reasonably satisfied with my married life of 25 years, have never been able to convince my woman or change her thoughts when she is hell-bent on believing one and only one thing...that she is correct and I am wrong, when it is my mind that knows the truth and she has never been in my mind to 'see' this. How in heaven's name is anyone able to convince anyone with such a stoic attitude? It can't be done! I have been a victim of misunderstandings many times in my life and it simply tends to destroy my mental health when this happens. This I know...truth is neither positive nor negative...it just is...but truth is all too often an objective condition rather than a subjective condition being often, impossible to prove, especially when truth is within someone's mind and impossible to open this truth to another person unwilling to even begin to consider an alternative. TAMPO...not only Philipina's issue but just as hated and destructive. When a woman 'knows' she is right, SHE IS RIGHT! and nothing anyone can say or do to change this corrupt and juvenile opinion, for it seldom is truth and harmful to everyone involved and she doesn't care! As for Gary 'looking around'...I look around all the time, everywhere and so does my wife. If she sees something 'interesting', she most often will point it out to me, and vice verse with neither of us [in this case] Tampoing each other. I tell my wife that just because I see something beautiful, that doesn't mean that I want it! Like a painting on a wall, I may like it but I don't want it. I also routinely walk up to folks that I don''t know and talk to/with them, male or female. We smile, make light jokes and enjoy the moments. Wifey is used to me doing this, and has never taken a misunderstanding about it. And, so, you Gary shared your past relationships with your wife...and survived? Being 80 yrs. now, and happily married, I don't play around, but in my youthful past, I was a big player. What I am getting at is that at no time when I was with another female, did I recall/relate/discuss any past encounter/relationship...never. First of all, the one that I was with was the only one that I was thinking about at that time. Secondly, essentially, no female wants to hear about a man's past relationships, regardless of what she tells you! None of them! Perhaps your wife is different, but never in my experiences and to date, with my current wife, holding true to my construct and, in fact, seldom ever think about any past experience. You must be a better man than me... Oh, one last thing...how you two manage to engage in this video construct without a knock-down, drag-out fight is beyond me! To me, it appears as if Leah is absorbing everything that you are saying, just to [sometime in the future] resurrect it into a Tampo and use it against you, Gary. I know, I am overthinking, right? [Maybe not...]
