Nice Video. I find it so odd why there are not more videos of their products. I have ordered the "Flourish ceiling light" from the uk website. could not see a single picture or video online of it anywhere except on the official website. Getting an electrician in on Friday to hook it up to the ceiling.

Yes, totally agree. Some of their products have a lot of videos but some are just non existent. Never heard of the Flourish ceiling light but just had a look and it does look very cool. We've got this one in a bedroom and it's incredible - amzn.to/2ZiTLdo - although it's not full colour, but incredibly bright.

Hi, good video. Could you comment on how bright the light is at night, on its brightest setting, how much of your garden is illuminated?
@littlesmarthome3 жыл бұрын
I can indeed! It's not super bright. It's definitely not 'security light' bright, but we've got it above our deck and hot tub and it seems to light things up enough for us when we need it. To be perfectly honest and transparent, we're contemplating putting in a security light in addition to this Hue light for better visibility for our cameras just in case someone came into our garden. If you're using it (as we do) mainly for seeing where you're walking late at night it's perfect, but you couldn't read a book with it. Hope this helps?
@grocerylist Жыл бұрын
@@littlesmarthome disappointing that it doesn't sound to be very bright. Seems a wasteful to have to have both this and need to install an additional "security light" for actually lighting up a space.

@littlesmarthome4 жыл бұрын
I'll see about putting something up, but it's definitely not a flood light in the traditional sense. It's bright enough to see things but not as bright as the traditional 'burn your eyes' flood lights. I personally would call it outdoor mood lighting. Having said that, our garden's quite small, it's a new build property so gardens aren't big whatsoever. It's bright enough for us, and doesn't annoy the neighbours as much as the old one!
@ZekeMagnum3 жыл бұрын
Do i really need a hue bridge to set it up? Especially the small one
@littlesmarthome3 жыл бұрын
Yes you do if you want it connected to Hue. If you just want it as an on/off (without dimming or colours) then no you don't have to have a hub, but it'd be cheaper to buy a traditional outdoor light.

How do you get the back off the sensor to get to the batteries?
@littlesmarthome4 жыл бұрын
We honestly haven't had to, the battery is already in the unit, just pull a plastic tab out to turn it on for the first time. I'd imagine though it's the single screw on the back to remove the old battery and replace it. Hope this helps!
@kenackroyd60604 жыл бұрын
So what’s the screw on top of the sensor for please?
@littlesmarthome4 жыл бұрын
On the back of the sensor there's a plate that screws onto your wall. The screw just holds the sensor against the plate.

@HarveyTAS4 жыл бұрын
@@littlesmarthome Yeah must be, the one I have is wide open on the mount box, so it requires silicone sealing to be applied all around the base. It also had the worst mount design I have ever seen. Your version must have been created from the negative feedback of the original mount for sure.
@littlesmarthome4 жыл бұрын
@@HarveyTAS Sounds like it! Mind you, the mount on mine was tapered, so it's narrower on the top than the bottom, I originally put it up so the horizontal line was straight, not even thinking about whether it was a perfect square. Needless to say I was a little annoyed when I realised.

Might have already mentioned this to other comments, but yes, you're right, would be nice at night, but it wasn't possible. I wouldn't class this as a spotlight either. It's more of a 'soft light'. @RogerThomas Жыл бұрын
This is a fairly decent amount of stand-by power. Might hook up a monitor to check it. I know it's rated at 15w and has an efficiency score of 'G', but if it is 7w on standby, that's 168w a day, 61,320w a year (or 61.32kw). That's £20.87 a year in the UK right now.
