"Boring" is beheld in the eye of the beholder. "Boring" can be made no longer boring by how we perceive or look at our subject. What I am trying to say is that there is nothing boring around us only in the way we perceive it!

This works great on vehicles. Especially if you are at some kind of racing event and can track the vehicle good enough to keep it sharp. The people who own the vehicles love it.

Thank you, this video is well-timed as the winter sets heavily in my small town.

The pan of the bicycle is great, especially at 1/10. I do panning blurs of cars and bicycles like that but I usually use 1/30 or 1/40 second. When I do ICM, I usually go even slower, like 1/2 second. I like the look of your 1/10 and 1/8 shots. Very nice! I thought you might be using the TTArtisan 75 f/2 which I'll be testing soon but I think you may be using the Rokinon or maybe Samyang 75 1.8. I just picked up a 100-400 lens that I plan on taking on at least one street photography photo walk. I like long lenses on the street. I used my 70-200 2.8 last time I went out. It was wonderful. 100-400 may be too much. Time will tell.

Really interesting work and a great suggestion to mix up your regular shooting regimen. 📸

Thanks for the inspiration Micael. I forget about ICM and it's such a good thing to do when you can't get inspired to go out and do 'normal' photography.

That was a lot of fun! Good also to discover, after many years, what that little 'S' on the mode dial is actually useful for. Cheers!

I recently started shooting with slow shutter speeds paired with a flash and I've liked my results. I will definitely try this technique during my next session. thanks for sharing.

I was out today in Stockholm. A bit warmer, maybe 5C, and a bit of a blue sky. Came home with quite a few Winter snaps, yet to try this technique, though.

Sony: "We have built a camera with amazingly fast shutter speeds, brilliant resolution, awe inspiring light gathering abilities, stunning dynamic range, rock steady stabilization, and eye popping colour science, all to enable you to capture the best quality photos you have ever taken." Photographer: "I'm bored with that." (Sets controls of the camera to get the perfomance level of a 1999 digicam.) ;)

Very nice Micael 😀👍 Great idea for the boring grey days this time of the year 👍 Do you know the KZbin channel of Gareth Danks? In his latest video he shared a great challenge to join. I invite everyone to have a look at this if street photography has your interest! 🙋🏼♂️
