Photoshop: Middle-Click Pan (In 60 SECONDS!!)

Believe it or not, this is LITERALLY what the Photoshop help desk told me to do when I asked about middle-click pan settings for the software... I just use Krita since it works better for me. Even though its designed more for painting and drawing, it's surprisingly good at image editing too. It also has the middle-click pan by default.

@@neuvatn Those are fine software - The only reason I'm stuck with Photoshop is because it just works perfectly in sync together with premier pro and after effects. The speed and time saved using them together is just to big for me to drop right now.

I use X-Mouse-Control to map my under-thumb button to MMB in blender. It saves both my fingers and my mouse!

Welp my mouse button stopped working years ago but dam razor mouse is built different and still last me since 2017 anyways im suprised that they dont have this feature meanwhile blender has a feature given to user like me who cannot use the mouse button

Indeed. PS has the best navigation of all the programms. Using middle button is a pain, there's no standard tech for additional mouse buttons and you never know how exactly they feel on a specific model. Logitech for example always makes middle buttons small and hard to press. I love my MX-518 shape, but middle button definitly sucks and not suitable for panning.

@@glhfetc Panning and zooming with just the mouse is also dumb because you'll have your left hand on the keyboard anyway for other hotkeys, plus how are you going to alt + right click to adjust the size and hardness of your brush?

Simple speed really - "middle-click(Drag)" pan = 1 input, on 1 hand. "spacebar" + "left-click(Drag) = 2 Inputs, and 2 hands - So, the true reason why middle click is superior is because I can sip my coffee with my left hand, while doing everything else on my right hand -
