Glad I found this video! I was in the same situation but I had severe collateral damage. Fell skiing but had knee torsion that ruptured my ACL, grade 3 PCL, grade 3 MCL. After 2 months of PT to get ready for the op, surgeon said the knee is very stable and did not want to operate yet. They ended up taking me to extreme physical therapy, even to twisting and direction changes and ended up having no buckling at all. My injury was Jan 9, 2023 and Today, Jan 3, 2024, still ok, 5mm translation but ACL is 70% re-attached and still healing. Total 360 hours of PT.

thanks for this, I've just come from my 1st Physio assessment for similar pain in my left knee after I fell and twisted my leg and fell sideways to the left. When you explained the areas where the movement was compromised I totally identified with it. I'm being sent for an MRI to determine treatment going forward, however until then I've been told to wear a compression stocking (thigh to ankle) and to restrict any painful movements or load bearing and to keep it on ice and try and get the swelling down before any type of rehab exercises can be done. I thought I'd just mention that in case those watching think they can just dive in and do the exercises before having the injury properly investigated. My physio is hopeful I won't need surgery. I'm 61 so if I can avoid that I'll be very happy.

Hi.. i was going through yoir videos and its great to see it. Recently i had an ACL+ menisci injury. The graft is taken from quartricps, but i came to know that most of the atheletics people prefer patellar graft. Is it true ? And what is the difference between quatercips and patellar graft?

Hi Tim great work, I've torn my ACL 3weeks ago i cant get my knee to fully extend or bend i get about 95% extension and about 5% degree bent from 90 degree trying to get it to bent is pretty painful, my hamstring is tight and the vmo feels as if it ready to get training. How long after the injury should one get to start Rehab without surgery?? Thanks

@@physiorehab Glad to hear she is fine. Was it partial tear?

Well it is good idea not to have surgery for the moment, if the joint is stable no-giving away , along with good quads n hams she needs to have finely tonned glutes and off course deep core that could prevent her instability! What I suggest during pre-hab if the stability improves to the extent patient feels confident on her knee, besides her balance and propioception improved to pre-injury level!!
