I was ready to complain about this because these videos always do the same: they calculate the price of the meal they make by grams and all that which I think is unfair and counterintuitive. But this? I can tell you were actually making a video to help people with a low budget not just trying to ease the title for views. As you said in places like America there's no way that much groceries amount to 20$ but also this is probably the most realistic and cheapest video. You even avoided using complex machines that not everyone has. It's always funny/sad to see that other people's budget videos spend more than my everyday grocery budget (under $20 for the full 7 day week). No shade, it is nice to see these for inspiration. I keep a spreadsheet of cost per ounce of my staple ingredients at different grocery stores (applesauce, spices, dry beans, peanut butter, onions, potatoes, etc.); then I figure out the cheapest place to purchase each item. I make one stop at whichever store has the best fresh produce sales that week, and grab some of whatever of my staple freezer or shelf items are cheapest at that particular store. Dry beans and potatoes are where a majority of my calories come in. I'm glad a lot of people dont have to budget this harshly, but I hope this might help someone whether you do or not :)

Actually my boyfriend cooks meals all the time for us but right now he has his final exams so I am responsible for the kitchen. And because at these times our budget is tight, too this video really helped me a lot to have some really good meals for an entire week without spending a lot of money, so thank you so so much Sadia! Not only money has been saved but a lot of stress, too 🙏

I teared up watching this video. All these recipes look soooooo delicious and something I can definitely afford and make without messing it up. I'm nervous if I ever have to live on my own I wouldn't do well in terms of cooking, but this is one video I have full trust in until I'm more confident in my cooking skills and try something more complicated (ingredients/equipment wise) so THANK YOU!!!!

I'm looking for vegan recipes to save money on the grocery bill this month. This recipes will be perfect to add to the weekly rotation. Thank you so much!

what I liked most about this video was that the ingredients are used in multiple recipes, so that if you buy 1 kg of carrots or 400g of spinach, that you are actually gonna finish it in one week and nothing goes bad.

In the UK in Tesco today April 2024 this cost me £14.60. I already had lentils, but essentially none of the other ingredients. These meals should do my partner and I for dinner and lunch the next day, so definitely meets the budget friendly criteria, two years after this is released!

Thank you so much for these recipes! As a student abroad it's really important for me to try to spend as less as possible on food while still eating a plentiful variety of meals. All of these recipes were extremely delicious. Not only did I love them, but my non-vegan roomate also did and that's always a plus! So again thank you so much for this video and the recipes, hope there will be more coming in the near future :)

I love this entire channel. I was wondering.... I've completely invested myself into the zero waste life style and when I watch videos like this I get jealous because I can't always make them due to certain ingredients only being available in packaging. I would love to see a vegan channel with some great zero waste recipes.

This is just amazing, it’s so nice that this is low budget. It’s also nice to see that you can basically always add stuff to everything for that extra bit of greens. Here at home we loooove spinach but also the peas is such a smart idea! Definitely saving these recipes! Also going to try out those veggie patties!!

Thanks for all the inspiration Sadia! I tried the challenge in Curaçao: everything is a bit more expensive here, especially soya yoghurt. But managed to shop for everything for about 35 euro.
