I reserved an Edition 1 Canyon AT4X last November with the whole craziness going on with the strikes the dealership was having delays. So they offered me this exact same truck with the dealer markup of $16K for a $107,000 total. I walked away and found my same exact Edition 1 that someone changed their mind. that truck better have the KITT feature on it.

It is hard to fathom that a pick up truck cost $100,000. Insanity. In 2011 I bought a GMC Dinali Dooley for $44,000 out the door. Crazy.

I've tried and failed to it in the past. Copyright issues, music that has been compressed, recording issues. Just a lot of stuff gets in the way.

Question, Tim: When I press the “auto” button, the HUD shows “AWD”. Is there a significant difference between auto 4wd and AWD, and does it matter during normal operation?

I just think many take exception to the "off road" aspect and think it should be more basic while fulfilling that role. But it really only works as a profitable product if it's also targeted towards luxury shoppers.

Interesting thought. Those recovery points are really meant to add a shackle to them. WIth a u-shaped shackle, then you can simply run rope through them.

I have the 21 Sierra SLT with the 5.3/8 speed combo. Gas mileage at a constant 70-75 has gotten as high as 33 mpg. In town with no load has gotten as low as 16. Cornering is pretty decent but I associate that with everything being fairly new. No body roll to speak of. My only dislike are the Ranch shocks that GM puts in these. They are junk. Very bouncy over bumps and rough roads. I have new bilsteins on order.

I have the multipro tailgate on my 2023 GMC SIERRA SLT and it makes getting into and out of the bed much easier as well as accessing what’s in the bed. But I’m 70 so maybe when your a geezer you might change your mind. I’m glad it’s an option.

It’s allowed me to haul 10’ pvc pipe with the tonneau cover in place without having to tie anything. It’s fine I guess, but I did drop it on the ball one time.

@@NMTRUCKER Haha. Yeah not 70. In my 50's and can still jump around like mad. I just like mostly standard gear. The more complex they make something the more issues may arise later. Just never thought a tailgate needed so many amenities.

I think it was simply baked into the development for their newer trucks whereas this current platform was not developed with larger tires in mind. If that turns out to be the case, we can likely expect the next generation trucks to follow the trend.

Those ratings on the capacity sticker don’t make sense. Gooseneck ratings are lower than conventional? 1006 payload minus 870 tongue leaves 130 pounds for everything in the truck- no way ( truck should at least have one adult driver and a tank of gas)..

Not strange. AEV has steel bumpers. They weigh a lot more and that is part of the drop in payload.

Get lower trim if you want more payload. They make trucks serve a wide range of uses these days and it attracts different customers.
