The inside, even with leather seats, felt so cheap, plasticky, I fell more in love with the Pacifica after letting it go 😅

My kids grew up with Chrysler Town and Country Mini-vans, and I own a 2022 Pacifica Pinnacle. The day my 21-year-old son graduated from California Lutheran with a degree in Criminal Justice and several job offers, he asked me if I would co-sign for a new 2023 Pacifica Limited. He got his Pacific Limited without my help and loves it, Although his friends seem to be a bit perplexed until they want to go surfing, then they understand the attraction.

I found this video when I was researching the Pacifica. I actually just bought a Limited S Appearance with UConnect and with the Safety Sphere on Saturday. I love, love, love this mini van. I feel like a total dork saying that, but after car shopping for the past six months, I couldn’t find something that checked every box. My kids are older, so I almost could have bought anything. But car shopping since Covid is a nightmare. The dealerships have low inventory and are charging market adjustments up to 7k where I live on Hondas, Toyotas, and Kias. I found my Pacifica about 90 miles from where I live. They not only sold me the car 3k below MSRP, but they also delivered it to my house and gave me a great deal on my trade. It was the easiest car buying experience ever - no pressure and a great deal! I never thought I’d be so excited about a mini van, but it has every feature you could possibly want, it’s easy to drive and park, and it doesn’t need premium gas. I was driving a BMW that was a nuisance to maintain and didn’t have the versatility that this car has. Great video!

I liked the approach to this. It made me laugh. Chrysler has always had minivan practicality down pat. What they never got right was durability and dependability. My nephew and his wife are figuring that out now with theirs. Toyota and Honda never had all the practicality but they repaid it in spades with QC and reliability (most gens).

Absolutely love my Pacifica. I have more storage than most current extended cab pickups with their tiny beds. With a 3.6 L V6 I can tow my tear drop trailer for camping which my wife and I sleep in, while kids sleep in the van with the stow and go seating down and nobody in the family is sleeping in a tent on the ground. We can comfortably sleep 4 and get in and out of places RVs can't. My ONLY complaint is I wish they had just a little more ground clearance.

Great stuff. Best vehicle we have ever owned was a mini van, when our children were younger. Now that we are older, empty nesters and close to retirement my wife and I are looking to buy a new Toyota Sienna, maybe Chrysler. Nothing beats the comfort, practicality and space for road trips to visit the family.

I’m still driving my 1999 Chrysler Town & Country van with 218,000 miles on it and have never replaced the engine or the transmission ( in fact, this has been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned). I’m currently looking for a used Chrysler Pacifica Limited; this will probably be my last vehicle.

I bought my first Chrysler minivan in 1987 when our third child was born. I’ve probably had 10 since then. I tried to give it up when my kids went to college but how would I move them? So I went back to buy another one. And the stow and go - nothing better. So now, I’m a grandmother with six grandkids and we just bought another mini van. It’s more practical than a pick up truck. When we moved- I got my whole dining room in - a double pedestal table, buffet and 8 chairs and boxes of china.

I’m very interested in buying one of these. I’m just a little hesitant due to Chrysler’s reputation for vehicles with poor reliability. Having said that I bought a used (2009) Toyota Camry in 2020 that turned out to be a total money pit. I’m dumping it. So you can’t ALWAYS rely on brand reputation. I’ve been looking at Mazda CX5’s, used Lexus RX 350’s (supposed to be super reliable), but the minivan caught my attention, and the more I learn about the Chrysler Pacifica, the more I’m loving it… much like the guy in the video! LOL My question is… since you’ve owned several, did you have any major problems/mechanical issues or expensive repairs on any of yours? I hope that it’s a reliable vehicle when properly cared for, because there are aspects of BOTH the Toyota Sienna AND the Honda Odyssey that I REALLY dislike, so I’m not interested in them. And the Kia Carnival is just too new and unproven, too expensive, and Kia has a terrible rep for reliability, even though it has some nice features. I would definitely buy a Pacifica if I felt pretty confident that it was not going to be another money pit like my current Toyota Camry.

@@saylorgirl799 Hey Saylorgirl! I have no issues with the 10+ vans I have owned. I used to own them for only 2-3 years - but now I have them for 80 - 90,000 miles. They are the best design.. They drive like a car. I love, love the stow and go. It makes the van so flexible with seating and hauling. Funny, my daughter with her her three kids drives one, too. Gas mileage is good. I bought my first used one off a lease this year. It’s ok - but next time I’m going to buy a new one.

With the seats stowed, you can put a large refrigerator inside the cavern of an AWD Pacifica and get to the ski hill in a snow storm. This is a great vehicle for anyone who needs maximum cargo capacity and AWD capability.

The only problems with minivans is they don't come with 35's and sit on 9+ inches of ground clearance. That'll put the truck out of business if they built that.

I know your pain. My parents had a Plymouth Voyager and Dodge Caravan in the 90s and early 2000s. My pop hated them since he grew up on trucks and muscle cars in the 70s & 80s. The day he retired he got rid of the van and got the Dodge Ram 2500 5.9 Cummins Mega Cab. Mom wasn’t very happy hahaha.

@@starwarsphan3159I do lease the car, for 3 years you will enjoy, I think Pacifica will last about up to 100k miles no problem, after need to be be go, the biggest problem is transmission, will not last more than 100k, maybe less, otherwise Pacifica is way better interior than plastic Toyota, specially if you get limited or pinnacle models

I used to sell cars for Chrysler back when they were partnered with Mercedes and most couples would reveal that the husband always wanted to drive the minivan over whatever was supposed to be his daily driver. Some families would just get two vans because the Stow N Go made them a good replacement for their pickup truck.

I have this identical van, we love it, its an unreal vehicle. Only complaints are -blueray plaer doesnt work most if the time and is super glitchy when it does -had a couple weird suspension noises front and rear fixed by replacing bushings under warranty -warped rotors after less than 40k (maybe I just brake way too hard)

I bought mine in 2019 and have not been dissatisfied in any way. It looks a lot like this one's color and trim, one of the reasons that I bought it. Mine's not AWD, and doesn't have the entertainment package, but it does seats 4 adults comfortably, did get 34 MPG on my last trip, and mine has the towing package. With all the seats stowed, the storage compartment deck is 49 inches by 100, large enough for full sheets of plywood. AND, the 3rd row has its own moonroof. The only downsides that I have found are that they can be expensive to repair, they don't come with a full-size spare, or any spare if you opt for that vacuum.

We've been looking at these but the quality/reliability issues are just too frequent for me. For those looking, they'll never tell you but the stow and go 2nd row seats are significantly less padded to fit into the well they fold into. If you USE the 2nd row seats regularly you might want the non disappearing versions. FWIW

Why does consumer reports have Chrysler Pacifica as worst vehicle? I had Dodge caravan for over 14 years longest I have ever owned a vehicle,still runs great just regular maintenance and over 200,000 and still runs fine but she is getting old need to look at a newer vehicle for travelling.

If people realized how awesome minivans are, most people would have them. I have a Town & Country; it’s my third minivan. I put sheets of MDF, plywood, sheet rock, …slide them in the back and close all the doors.. Loader buckets, motorcycles, all kinds of sh*t. I have an air mattress and camping gear and I can live in it. (Except for the fact that I have a German Shepherd and an American Akita that don’t get along). And I don’t care what anybody thinks. It rides nice, handles good and has plenty of power.. And it has the same footprint as a sedan.

@commonsenseguy8189 I have a 2021 model with 15,000 miles so far. My solution to reliability concerns was to get the Mopar 85K warranty. I also maintain my cars beyond what the manual says. I drive more miles electric than I do on the engine. This means my 6 momth and 5K oil changes are more like 2500 miles or less changes. The transmission in the hybrid is basically a knockoff of the one in a Toyota hybrid. It is a simple design and despite what even the salesman will tell you, it is not a cvt. There are no belts on it, just a few simple gears. The fluid replacement is like an oil change. It removes most of the fluid and is easy to do. The brakes should last 100K or more thanks to regen braking. There is even a low range that amps up the regen. Going down a mountain last year I ended up adding 25% to the battery. We will see how it does in the long term, but so far zero problems with it other than some software updates. They designed the tailgate button to have a timeout on the close working. People complained so they updated it snd works great now.

@@MeliorIlle The good thing about Mopar warranties is you can buy them online from a dealer that specializes in them, this makes the cost very reasonable. I paid 1,500 all at once for an 8 year 85k bumper to bumper warranty. Just search for Chrysler factory warranty and you will find them. For the hybrid you have to get the best one for everything to be covered but the cost is reasonable so not an issue,

If a person is worried about what people think if you buy a mini van they need to get a life. My wife and I love to travel. We have had two mini vans and there is nothing better to travel in. Room, comfort, better gas mileage than a SUV unless you get a very small SUV. Pull up your big boy pants and quit worrying about other people and get what y ou will really enjoy.

I love mini vans... I DGAF.. They're comfortable, ride nice, perfect height! The Pacifica is cool but I still like the Dodge Caravan better. Getting rid of the legendary Caravan was just dumb

I have loved my 2018 Pacifica....but, just found out they have an engine failure at about 77,000 miles. Beware. Look it up. Looks like it is also affecting 2019 and don't know how far up the chain it goes.

Minivans are probably the only real class of vehicles that get the best innovations. The fact that you can plug in the microwave into a pure sine wave inverter on the new sienna with its built in fridge and its high mpg makes for an awesome road trip car. Meanwhile, all these dumb SUVs are competing in plastic cladding to look tough and sacrifice efficiency. Buy Minivans for your families, people. They're clever, more efficient and just as safe as a station wagon on stilts.
