I don’t get why people hate it more than iMeetFred. At least here, when they showed people making fun of Freddy, all what they did was laughing at him and it was made in a way that we will have sympathy with the cyber bullying victim, while in iMeetFred, everyone were full of dying hatred towards Freddy, including Carly, by the way, to the point where he was also bullied physically, and all of it was meant to mock the cyber bullying victims! At least iKiss treated this issue with respect, as it should be treated. iMeet Fred was just insensitive and nasty!

I always felt like this was a standout episode of iCarly and PieGuy explained exactly why. The scene where Carly calls out Sam for what she did to Freddie is one of my favorite scenes in the whole series. It's very rare that Sam was ever scolded for her behavior so to see Carly get through to her was really satisfying and cathartic. I definitely agree that the tone of the scene was perfect (no laugh track whatsoever) and that comedy shows should never be afraid to have a serious/emotional moment when necessary.

if your looking for some Bizarro episodes, may I suggest isaved Your Life? it's basically the opposite episode of idate a Bad Boy because rather then put Carly in the right for her shallowness, the episode actually puts her in the wrong for it, and even has Freddie calmly call her out on it at the end of the episode C: not to mention it has a VERY funny and surprisingly badass subplot with Sam and Spencer trying to get each other in a paintball gun fight ^-^

"HERE'S SPENCY!!!!" "I gotta stop saying witty things before I blow." No, but in all seriousness, that was a really good episode. It addressed the relationship between Carly and Freddie in a way that felt mature and relatable, instead of being over-the-top and offensive. You wanted them to be together on one hand, but you knew their romance was flawed from the start. It also let you know just how much Carly cares about Freddie and their friendship.

I really enjoyed that episode as well. My one issue with it was that it was kind of weird that they only mentioned that Freddy got hit by the truck or whatever and didn't actually show it. Even though I was only like 9 at the time, it still kind of bugged me, especially because it's the main kickstarter of the plot. But other than that, it was great. :)

According to Jennette’s book “I’m Glad My Mom Died”, “The Creator” made her do the kiss scene seven times because she wasn’t moving her head enough and stormed off after they couldn’t do another take. She wasn’t comfortable with it at all because it was her first kiss. :/

I kind of disagree with the point of it being a prank war. Freddy said that they were even and Sam just said, "Mama doesn't play to get even, Mama plays to win." So I wouldn't say that really makes what she did more justifiable, but at least the episode puts her in the wrong.

I actually liked the way the Seddie arc started. I liked that they sort of subtly hinted at it, and gave the audience some misdirection by making it seem like she was into someone else. But I definitely didn't like the way it progressed. It made Sam even less likable, having her claim that she has to abuse Gibby in order to not abuse Freddy, (which bears some rather unfortunate implications.) I mean, was it really necessary for her to abuse Gibby? Was the fact that Freddy's mother didn't approve of them dating not enough of a conflict? And how Gibby is apparently supposed to just take one for the team. And the fact that it ended so quickly felt like a slap in the face, I thought it was going to be a subversion to the status quo is God, but nope, it just ended up being another arc.

This episode was pretty good actually one of my favourites from season 2, only problem is I really wish they didn’t kiss at the end scene yeah I know it was called iKiss for a reason but it felt very forced and weird, would have been much more better if they had changed the title and it ended with Sam actually showing she cares about Freddie other then implementing a hidden romantic attraction between the two, other then that good episode overall.

The only thing I question about this episode is how over-the-top the bullying was. Tell me if your experiences differ, but I really don't think anyone would care if one of their classmates had never been kissed before. In my high school, people wouldn't bully someone for that reason alone, they would probably waste their time gossiping about the girl in class who got pregnant or something more substantial worth gossiping and bullying another kid about. I could see this happening in middle school, but I highly doubt this type of bullying would happen in high school over the revelation of someone having never been kissed. But that's just a nitpick, I do like this episode. Honestly, I'm in college now, and I still haven't had my first kiss. I was bullied a lot in school, but not for never having my first kiss. No one really cares about that. But maybe your experiences differ, so feel free to contradict me on this, because I know that anecdotes are not evidence.

This was probably one of the times sam actually was mature and talked to Freddie, stood up for him, and kinda had a reason for it, they talked it out and everything. I’m pretty sure Freddie’s used to her through years since after she says “I’m still gonna mess with you” he says “good.” And in Iomg he seemed annoyed and confused why sam was being nice.

I mean people tend to make fun of a guy if he's a virgin (it's not justified but happens) Or they make fun of a guy if he's a romantic, or if he's straight but does "girly-things." No one has ever made fun of a guy for having never kissed someone. Ever. It doesn't happen. Most people don't care if you've never kissed someone.

I think this episode, the episode with Sam's twin sister, and the episode where they go to some kind of school dance each with their own terrible date are what mostly fueled Seddie. That third one, where Freddy went out with that magician girl who kept doing overly flashy tricks that would inconvenience or almost injure Freddy, and Carly went out with that guy who never shut up and kept talking over her- never letting her finish a sentence. And after having such a terrible night with such terrible dates, Freddy and Carly decided better to have at least one dance with someone they don't want to kill and decided to dance together. Freddy wasn't desperately simping over her- he just made a respectful suggestion to help de-stress from the night's events because he acknowledged she needed it as much as he did (if not more), and Carly was maybe a little more open than she normally would be- deciding not to give him a polite but firm rejection as usual and takes him up on the offer, even going so far as to rest her head on his shoulder. They weren't exactly being romantic, neither of them were under any delusion this was anything but a one-time thing... kind of out of utility more than anything. She didn't love Freddie, she just trusted him to be what she needed at that time without any strings attached, and knew he was sincere in his unspoken understanding and agreement of that. But then Sam walks in, sees them slow-dancing with Carly's head rested on his shoulder, it certainly _looks_ romantic even if it contextually wasn't really, context she doesn't have. She gives a look- not of anger or betrayal or shock, just kind of a light maybe slightly stunned sadness, like something she wanted (but had no official claim to) was taken from her, and she leaves without saying anything- Carly and Freddy never even aware she was there. That was a competent writing moment and could only have been properly followed up with more writing competence- too bad they seem to have run out. That look Sam gave at the end of that episode made me wonder "was that 'kiss just to get it over with and out of the way' really just that? Or does she actually have some feelings for him?" Why does she single him out so much to pick on anyway? When Freddy was dating that one girl who tried to make him leave iCarly, he said he gave the excuse that maybe he doesn't like the way Sam treats him, to which Carly says "what's the real reason?", calling him out, knowing full well that reason is bogus. And Sam's only defense as to why she picks on him so much is "I love it". Too bad they totally botched in when they actually put those two together, could have been a great evolution of their relationship and character growth for Sam, but Schneider shows don't work like that. Characters never grow, if they grow they lose the funny aspects of their characters, and he only wants episodic comedy.

My thoughts: 1.) Awesome idea for a new show! 2.) I've always love-hated this episode because the kids at school picking on Freddie, although over-the-top, really bugged me when I first saw it. Now that I'm older, I can see that it was meant to be a bit unrealistic to drive the story along, but I didn't catch that as a young teenager with low self-esteem. 3.) Like I said, for the longest time, that particular scene bugged me and, over time, soured my opinion of the overall episode, since I haven't seen it in a long time. Now that you review it, though, I remember how much I really enjoyed the rest of it. It was well-paced, the morals were decent, and it didn't leave you with a feeling that any of the characters were in the wrong and didn't get called out for their actions. 4.) The lack of a laugh track for that one minute is golden. 5.) Apparently, that kiss was only 3 seconds long, but they edited it to last almost twice as long. For some reason? 6.) I honestly think the Seddie thing later in the series would have been okay if it wasn't for the fanbase at the time. For those who aren't aware, there used to be a very thick line between Seddie (Sam/Freddie) fans and Creddie (Carly/Freddie) fans (iStart a Fan War was based off this). It's fine to ship certain characters, but both sides got really out of hand over time, and I really believe that the arc at the end of the series was forced out to both appease to Seddie fans and show them why it may not work. I mean, the episodes I actually saw just seemed kind of unnecessary and forced, like Dan didn't really want to do it. I think it would have worked if that part of the fanbase wasn't so strong at the time and it was maybe one episode at the end of the series or something. 7.) Anything from this show has to be better than iMeet Fred. I don't think the writers understand how internet celebrities work....

Ooh On Bottom of the Bakery You could do The Drake and Josh episode Theatre Thug (A lot of people consider that to be the worst episode of Drake and Josh and for good reasons.) and then for comparison on Bizarro Bakery you could do the episode Blue's Brothers. Both episodes have similar concepts, Josh goes on TV which leads to making his life miserable, but Blue's Brothers does it a hell of a lot better!

I think watching this review gives me a little enlightenment on this episode. I still don't like it, but I agree that there is plenty of justification on it. I may have been a little too harsh on this episode when I recalled it, originally, but there are points of this episode I'm in agreement with on what you had to say. I can definitely credit Carly for being pretty darn close to her original personality, making her look like a truly likeable person when she stands up to Sam telling her blatantly that she went too far. Was Sam and Freddie's kiss sweet? Eh... maybe. I was kind of harsh on that one, too. Mostly because that clip leaked out like a couple months before the episode was even advertised, and the Seddie fans were like, "Oh boy! Sam and Freddie are going to hook up! Praise to everything good and holy!" I think my bigger reasons for hating the episode are a little bunk. Nice review.

+DBZCOURT What you don't realize is that when Sam was in that scene, at first, she showed no regret whatsoever. Only after Carly get it through Sam's thick skull does Sam show any regret, which makes it feel forced.

What's the equivalent of iDateABadBoy? I'm guessing it'll be iWillDateFreddie - in that episode, the setup for the couple was done right, and everyone had legitimate reasons to hate Valerie. There's also iHateSam'sBoyfriend, which isn't as good, but at least everyone has legit motivations
