His some what reserved comment regarding a women playing Bond is certainly understandable. Bond can never be a women period. There, I said what he couldn't or wouldn't say. Why? Simple. James Bond is a character based upon a male character. Even crossing racial lines is ridiculous. This notion that Bond must now be a female or a black person is, in a word, asinine. You see, the franchise of Bond is slowly and methodically being taken over in incremental stages. Even having a female as M was a very deep departure from the original concept of Bond. Though its clearly obvious in that case, Dame Judy Dench played M very well. I think this whole omg we just have to make everything fair to every race or gender is stupid. People just need to cop a chill and accept that things were created for a reason and those reasons ought to stay intact and not be subjected to the whims of the minority. As for Pierce Brosnan, I thought he was a first class Bond. Goldeneye was a true test for him and, in my opinion, he passed that test to join the ranks of those he succeeded. Though older, he still has it going.🔫 Bond......James Bond

I would pay big bucks to see Brosnan back as Bond as a retired Bond or maybe his Bond would become the M role and it would be a spinoff. He was the best Bond. He had the looks, the charm, the witty humor, and the intensity. His first 2 films were great. Unfortunately his last 2 not so much, but it wasn't his fault. They were trying to appeal to the new millennium wave, and with Die Another Day, tried to be edgy with the cgi and over the top action. It came out as cheesy as Moore's Bond. But give him a script like Casino Royale amd Skyfall, he would blow Craig out of the water.
@trishwest18094 жыл бұрын
Well said. That's what the Broccoli family should be doing with the Bond series, not pandering to the diversity and inclusion club or the millennials. They need to fix the Bond series before it falls flat - well it kind of has already with Danny Craig whose heart is not in the movie - only in the money. What did the producer do to Luke Skywalker and then they spent all this time and money last year to repair the damage.

Pap smears are for cervical cancer. There is no effective way to screen for incipient ovarian cancer unless you are at very high risk. Brosnan's daugher could be considered to have been at such a risk, as genetic inheritance from a mother means a 5% increased risk, three times the general population. The only way to prevent it is if you have your ovaries removed. That has got to be a hard situation for a woman to be in. Who can say went through his daughter's mind? She had already had children, for instance. But surgery is still a tough call, then hormone replacement therapy that doesn't always work well. My sister's extended family includes a woman in her 40s whose mother died of breast cancer and who has one of the deadly high-risk mutations for it. She says she dreads her yearly mammogram. People wonder why she just doesn't go ahead and get a double mastectomy. But that's a major surgery with reconstruction. She might even have one of the mutations that requires you to remove the ovaries too, to be safe. (So might have Brosnan's daughter.) That's a huge deal. I don't know what I would do, I'm not in her situation.
