I dont know about that he was the one that almost got creamed by the falling tree whare as the trees around me got hung up and were just leaning aginst each other I think I was actually safer. the big question is what happens if your tree is hit by lightning

Hey now Zach, that didn't look like Woodobo (27:33)! =) I'm sure you know this, but you can boil the remaining parts of the fish with spices (I can think of one), and recover some of the remaining meat, plus get a great fish stock. Filter out bones, throw in some chantrelles (or other wild edible mushrooms), and wild onions/garlic in there and have a nice soup. Damnit, now I'm hungry again. Chris, no bacon in the morning!?!?!? That's blasphemy! lol

A fishbone stuck in your throat, that can lead to a serious injury and not just an uncomfortable feeling. My first thought is to eat lots of roughage (grass/kelp/seaweed) and swallow it to force that bone through your throat. I was told by my family to stuff some cooked rice or bread in your mouth and swallow it fast. Another way, swallow lots of oil to coat the bone and throat. In TCM, we use Wei Ling Xian/Radix Clematidis to dislodge bones stuck in the throat.

Hey Chris use your hobo reel with a flexible pole ,tie a key ring on the end of the pole . My grandfather made my first pole for me with a tin can as the reel ,you stick your hand in the tin can close your fist to hold it . Tie a key ring on the end of the pole mine was a bamboo pole about 8 ft long with a pork & beans can as a reel . You can out cast a regular rod an reel. I've caught thousands of fish that way ,gunna teach my grandkids once they get old enough. I'am almost 50 an have been using a slingshot since I was 5 ,I like the kind you make . Well like the videos an the adventures have fun men .

Another good series. Very enjoyable. I'm also, as someone who has been into diet and nutrition for decades, and have been saying since the early 90's that fats are digested more in a way that your body understands more, really interested in your test with the diet. Honestly, since you had a couple extra pounds to begin with, I think you win when you loose a few pounds, because most people would think you would gain weight eating only fat. It's fascinating to watch from someone who isn't just pushing some diet book. Biggest problem is that starches are pretty much what's made it possible to feed the world. If everyone ate that way, I don't know if there would be enough for everyone. Plus I don't currently have the cash to live like that. I'm also dying to see how you eviscerated that poor grouse! Lol. I'll have to watch the other channel.

i duno if anyone said this but i think a fun criteria for when you could end the challenge is once you can grow your food. it's theorized that the main advance in mankind that created larger communities was agriculture. it technically is a more efficient way to feed yourself than hunting. if the spirit of this challenge is based in testing how well you can stay fed off of the land as long as possible then agriculture would be the goal. of course showing you guys tending to crops isn't as entertaining as watching you guys hunting. obviously you guys would need to stay fed until something grows so you'd still be doing kinda what you did in this. so once you are able to grow a few edible plants from what is local to your camp, then it's weight in time.

Bear fat makes a fantastic oil when rendered out nice and slow in a medium oven. I wish that we could buy bear fat oil someplace. Its hard to get if you not hunting bear... and it's SO good! Even though I'm not diabetic, my blood sugar was high due to my liver dumping glucose to compensate. Be careful with the keto diet.
