Real life tip: if someone is having a panic attack don't ask them if they are dying or remind them of their responsibilities to you.

The theme and similar music is played on a variety of charango called a ronroco... it's kind of a lute from the Andes

18:28 it’s actually bad to tie a horse to a tree at body level cause if it spooks and jumps it can break its neck or seriously hurt it.

Back in episode 4 Ellie mentioned to Joel it wasn't her first time killing someone (this was after the scene where they got ambushed at the jeep and Ellie had to save him). Her first kill was likely Riley. She turned when Ellie didn't. I can't imagine what she must've felt in that moment. To think the best day of Ellie's life was also her worst... a great time with her best friend turned into her first kiss with a girlfriend. Riley was willing to give up her life as a Firefly to be with her. In the end Ellie assumed she was gonna die with her but survived. The same with Tess (Ellie got bit in the museum) and with Sam (who she desperately tried to save with her blood). The survivor's guilt she must suffer...

Hey, Pilar! EPISODE 6: The scene where Joel and Ellie argue and part company was taken verbatim from the game. The town of Jackson is introduced in the sequel. In the game, Joel reunites with Tommy at the dam which the settlers of Jackson are repairing. EPISODE 7: This flashback interlude is DownLoadable Content ancillary to the main game. It was adapted extremely faithfully in the mall but, in the DLC, you intercut with Ellie searching for meds in the present at another infected mall with a downed helicopter crashed through the roof! Captain Kwong is original to the show and demonstrates that not all FEDRA-controlled QZs are created equal. In the game, FEDRA is viewed as an indistinguishable enemy but the show is revealing that each FEDRA fiefdom is subject to the people running it. Boston's FEDRA dictatorship was benevolent relative to the brutality of the Kansas City QZ!

Both episodes were amazing! Thanks so much Pilar!🥰The scene with Joel talking to Tommy about taking Ellie was such a powerful scene. Shows how much Joel does care for her but is too broken to trust himself to see it to the end. The acting, top notch💞 Have a wonderful night Pilar! Thanks again💞

1:42 - Actually it's not a traditional guitar, but a specific one native to Argentina. Here's a video that Naughty Dog (the software company that created the game of "The Last of Us") made featuring a little bio on Gustavo Santaolalla as told by himself: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5vHm5aro5d9pZY

@@pilarslittlestudio If you're going to play on PC, wait some time (unfortunately I don't know how much time). The game just came out a couple of days ago but it unfortunately has a LOT of bugs and glitches in it and I would hate for you to try to play such an amazing game but it keeps freezing or crashing. Naughty Dog (the company that made the game) is very aware of these problems and are currently working on fixing them. Even though you've watched the show, the game is still worth playing. :)

Nice reaction to 2 great episodes. 😁 Kin: The reason why Joel doesn't teach Ellie much or let her do it things is that she wouldn't be cargo anymore. Such things create a mutual connection that Joel did not want until then. He doesn't want to give her the option to take care of him. Just like Sarah did back then. I mean she did the housekeeping, made sure he wore his shirt the right way around ect. In this episode, however, he unconsciously refers to her as family during dinner, because she is allowed to stay at the table while he expects Maria to leave. Fortunately, after the quarrel between the two, everything changed. That the dog notices infections is nothing new. Merci the neighbor dog already did that in episode 1. That being said, dogs also find cancer and other diseases in the body. The dog here has noticed that something is wrong with Ellie, but he has also noticed that there is no danger from her. Something Fedra's detectors can't detect. They only know black (red) and white (green), just like Fedra is. Because of Joel's injury. It makes no sense to leave the stick stuck in the body if there is no doctor around. You pull it out and just hope for the best. In addition, you probably can't even get on the horse with a stick in your body and you certainly can't ride with it. Maria to Ellie: "Be careful who you put your faith in. The only people who can betray us are the one we trust." Probably the most important sentence of this episode if not of the whole series. Joel to Ellie: "Dream of sheep ranches on the moon." This sentence says so much. Joel already connects Ellie's dreams with his. But he does not see this so clearly at the time and still tries to prevent the inevitable. Ellie drank from Joel's liquor and it was "STILL gross". That was a callback to the DLC "Left Behind" Elli's flashback episode. This episode was a feast for everyone who played Part 2. we met Dina, properly Jessie, Shimmer, Bison Bar, sheep, kids playing snowball, Astronauts, Jackson see from the inside. Simply fantastic. The campfire scene was not in the game, but was originally supposed to be included. So far, only a concept art was left in the bonus material of the game. I think the scene would have been important in the game because it underlines once again that both Marlene and Joel are absolutly sure that it is possible to produce a cure. Druckman said he can now finally show more through the series than was possible in the game. Ellie Flashback: Riley was already mentioned in episode 1, when Ellie sat chained in the room and Ellie called the Fireflys terrorists. Marlene then asked Ellie if she thought Riley was a terrorist. Then Ellie became sad. The mall is located in the QC. Quarantine means cleaned zone. Usually no infected. Therefore, people who enter or leave without permission are also executed by Fedra. This prevents infected people from contaminating this zone. It was just propaganda to claim that they were full of infected to prevent people from going in. That there was finally an infected in it is unfortunate, but by no means predictable. Probably a smuggler who came back to the zone infected. That's why Ellie and Riley are so carefree with noise. In addition, both have never seen one before because they grew up in QC. Everything they know, they know from propaganda. If you payed attention, the episode shows you how the story with Ellie and Riley ends. They don't have to show that explicitly. Riley played Mileena in MK2 and Ellie played Baraka (last game). Baraka skewered Mileena with his blades as finisher. That was the metaphorical endgame. Ellie had to kill Riley. Most likely with her knife. I don't think she used Riley's pistol. She would have had to disarm her first and it wouldn't have caused such a heavy reaction from her when she shot Bryan. That's why Ellie asked Joel in episode 2 what it was like for him to kill an infected, knowing that they once were human. I think she needed a comparison to her own feelings because she couldn't classify them. That's why she tortured and stabbed the stalker with her knife in episode 3. She first wanted to see if he felt something and then the anger broke through and she killed him because an infected bit Riley. Ellie kills Riley and because Riley didn't get in touch with Marlene the next day, she showed up at the mall, saw and took Ellie with her. She has prevented Ellie from being shot by her people, because she knows Ellie. As we learned in episode 1, it was Marlene who brought Ellie to Fedra Orphanage as a Baby. Marlene then locked her up for 3 weeks to see if she turned. The escalator can also be seen metaphorically. No matter how much Ellie runs against it (sometimes everything stays the same, sometimes there are highs), it still goes further and further downhill for her. Also, we've learned that Ellie's first impulse is to leave when she feels pushed away or is pushed away or is disappointed in any way, but she keeps coming back. This is one parallel between Joel and Riley. Another parallel is, both are Ellie's protectors. And don't forget Ellie's greatest fear of ending up alone. In the end, she will try everything possible to save Joel or even the world, which she was not able to do with Riley. Ellie has lost Riley and Sam to the fungus. She is the cure. She wants her survival to have value. Here it is shown no matter Fedra or Fireflys, for both you are just a number. They tell you what you want to hear and what benefits them, to achieve the respective goals. The officer at the beginning may be really nice, but he's definitely manipulative and told Ellie bullshit. There is no leader at all in Ellie. Riley brings everything that makes a leader and she was assigned to the sewers. There are always only 2 options to choose from and both are manipulated into thinking there are not more. There is only one clearly good or one clearly bad choice. Leaving Fedra obviously does not exist as an option. But orphans are easy to manipulate, as you can see from Ellie, who simply repeats what the officer told her in the conversation with Riley. Which in turn also shows that she is not a leader. And also with Fedra the people starve and kill each other, whereby Fedra officers lack nothing. The Fireflys are no different. Everyone comes in quickly, they made you feel you belong to a family and you are important to them. In fact, Riley is parked alone in the mall with bombs. These also kill civilians, as we saw in Episode 1 on Tess when one of these bombs exploded, killing two teenager. The series in general is all about the number 2. Bill and Frank, Ellie and Joel, Ellie and Riley, Sam and Henry, Joel and Tommy, Kathleen and Daniel, always only two choices, Mortal Kombat 2, joke book volume 2, t(w)ogethernes I actually thought Ashley Johnson (OG Ellie) would have her cameo here. Obviously, this was not the case, but it comes later in another memory. Most likely in the season finale. Next episode Troy Baker (OG Joel) will get his cameo. An important question was not answered. What do you call an alligator in a vest? An investigator. 😁 Your welcome. On the officer's keys was the Naughty Dog emblem.
