This was interesting and different. I liked the free-flow movements in the second half! I found the diaphragmatic breathing challenging cuz of how long the breath last! I thought we prioritize lateral breathing, rather than diaphragmatic breathing in Pilates.

Thank you Gaby. The lateral breathing is breathing using the diaphragm. In this video we focus on the full expansion of the ribcage and ‘pumping’ of the diaphragm ( contraction and relaxation). Take your time to explore your breathing with deeper and progressively longer breaths. This class is about getting everyone started and to let loose before we get into more technical pilates moves.
